1. I have been absolutely obsessed with headbands lately. Totally the influence of Miss Blair Waldorf.

Hahahaha. Joshua Jackson. That’s what happened with Fringe. I’m not entirely sure I would have been so interested in the show if he wasn’t cast. Love him. I would also follow Emily Van Camp anywhere. Before she was on Brothers and Sisters, I only watched the show when I remembered it was on. Once I heard she was cast, I started watching it regularly so I could figure out how her character would play into the storylines. That’s when I discovered how great a show it is and I was totally missing out even without her in it. I’d probably also be more likely to watch a show if Leighton Meester was in it — she rocks.

Ever quit watching a show because it was so bad?
Not really. Once I get into a show and connect with the characters, I’m hooked until the bitter end (unless I just get bored like I did with Ugly Betty). I contemplated giving up on Alias (after the season 2 finale) and One Tree Hill (in season 2 when Anna and Felix arrived and then again in season 4 with Haley’s pregnancy) but I was (am) too invested in the characters.

Everwood. I cried when bad things happened. And when good things happened. That show really got to me. Gawd, it was good.

Uhhh. Every day.

I’m drawn mostly to (teen) dramas (Dawson’s Creek, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, etc). But I also enjoy the secret identity/spy/superhero type of shows, like Buffy, Chuck, Alias, Reaper, Heroes.

Beverly Hills 90210. I was only 10/5th grade when it premiered so I wasn’t supposed to be watching it but I did. I was so obsessed that I used to horde my money to buy BOP and Teen Beat so I could tear out the pictures of Jason Priestly. Heh.
What TV show do you wish you never watched?
Reality shows like the ones on MTV and VH1… My Sweet Sixteen, Flavor of Love, I Love New York, etc. I don’t actually sit down and watch these shows but even seeing a glimpse while flipping channels drives me crazy.
What is the weirdest show you enjoyed?
I enjoy a lot of random shows but they’re not really weird… Say Yes to the Dress (I cannot stop watching this — I still love looking at wedding dresses), Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, Ace of Cakes, The Rachel Zoe Project.
What TV show scared you the most?
I get scared EASILY so I tend not to watch shows that would freak me out. But serial killer storylines always get me, like the Carver storyline on Nip/Tuck and the Blue Paint Killer on CSI. ((shivers))
What is the funniest TV show you have ever watched?
I’m not a huge fan of sitcoms. I don’t know why. But I always used to laugh out loud at Friends. ??? Sorry, I’m lame.

11:05 am – Sunday Brunch
One of our favorite things to do on the weekends is to go over to 4th Street in Berkeley. We decided to go earlier in the day and start off with a yummy breakfast at Tacubaya. Chilaquiles for me and Chorizo and eggs for Rob.

After breakfast we went over to the best scrapbook store EVER — Scrapbook Territory. You’ll see why in the next picture.

Diesel has friends! The owner, Diane, has 2 dogs that hang out at the store — Wilbur is the huge golden retriever (I think) and Dolce is the chihuahua. They like to say Hi to him when he comes in.

And that was pretty much my Sunday. I spent the rest of the day in bed because of my stupid allergies. :/ Too bad… I really wanted to check out Iron Man. Maybe next weekend…

I haven’t scrapped in forever. I just haven’t really thought about it in awhile.

I actually started my day at about 10:30 am when I went to the gym across the street. I brought the camera with me so I could take a picture during my walk over. As soon as I turned on the camera, though, I realized that I left the memory card at home. Doh! That’s why the pictures start so late in the day.

Rob and I wanted Subway for lunch and since it’s just a short walk away, we decided to take the little munchkin along with us.

04:24 pm – One Dollar Churro
We had to go to Costco to pick up some odds and ends and of course, I could not leave without a ONE DOLLAR CHURRO. Yummy. It was really windy and I wasn’t wearing any makeup so please excuse my crazy face.

04:50 pm – The Search Continues
I am still looking for yoga socks so we headed over to Sports Authority to see if they carry them. Nope. Rob did browse around the shoe section so the trip wasn’t a complete waste.

11:31 pm – Assembling the Invitations
We spent the rest of our night tackling the invitations. I made little tags with our guests’ names on them that I’m going to tie onto the envelope. They’re going to be so pretty!

Only 4 pictures today — sorry! I actually had more of the invitation process but since some of our guests actually read my blog, I decided to wait and post them after the invitations have been mailed. I don’t want to give away *too* much.

Diesel and I wake up at the same time in the mornings. He likes to follow me around as I get ready for my day.

One of the first things I do in the morning is feed the little guy. He scarfs his food down right away.

09:17 am – Friday Means Starbucks
I’ve been really good lately at limiting my trips to Starbucks to Fridays only. I save a little money and it makes me look forward to Fridays more than I already do.

10:31 am – Mmm… Strawberries
Breakfast today was a Tall nonfat peppermint mocha and a huge bowl of strawberries that I bought at the Farmers Market yesterday. Sooo good.

05:04 pm – Search for Socks
I need some really good pairs of sports socks for a yoga/pilates-type class I’ve been taking lately. You know, the kind with “grips” at the bottom to help with slipping. I went to the mecca (aka Lululemon) but unfortunately, they only had really obnoxious ones (bright colors and stripes). Oh well.

05:21 pm – I Love Vera Wang
My Macy’s bridal registry consultant sent me a Friends and Family coupon for this weekend so I headed over there to buy the toasting flutes and cake knife/server set that Rob and I will be using at the wedding. We picked out the popular Vera Wang ‘Love Knots’ pieces — so pretty! I wasn’t planning on getting them until closer to the wedding (there’s no space for all this stuff!) but I couldn’t pass up purchasing them at a discount.

06:47 pm – Sleeping Beauty
When I got home, Rob was taking a nap. So of course, I changed into my PJ’s and also enjoyed a quick “cat nap” before dinner.

09:28 pm – They’re Here!
Our invitations arrived today! So exciting. I’ll show some sneak peeks of them in the next few days since we’ll probably be spending most of the weekend getting them ready to be mailed out. YAY.

No pictures from the middle part of the day because 1) there was nothing going on at work and 2) I had a business lunch and even though we had the most amazing dessert platter, I did not feel comfortable busting out the camera to take pics.

I only have “real” coffee once a week and I always get it from McDonald’s. I get a lot of grief from my co-workers. Hey, I like it! Anyway, this is the left side of my desk at work — you can see the framed photo of Rob and me from college, my rolodex, and my iPod speakers.

I bought some big and juicy strawberries!

01:28 pm – Lunch at My Desk (As Per Usual)
Lunch was a yummy yummy Chicken Tandoori Wrap from Chaat Cafe and a generic coke from our community kitchen.

Turned the page on my adorable shih-tzu calendar. This is the right side of my desk — or what I call the “toy” section. Note my stuffed bear and Nemo and my Star Wars figurines. I’m such a kid.

09:20 pm – “Healthy Dinner”
McDonald’s for dinner. Not exactly what I should be eating after a really good workout. Oh, well. The vanilla cone was worth it.

09:45 pm – Game Time

Ever since we picked up Mario Kart on Monday, we’ve been playing daily. SO MUCH FUN.

There was nothing on last night besides American Idol so I watched it. I realized I haven’t watched it regularly in over 2 seasons. I kinda felt out of touch. I actually forgot how painful it can be watching the show live. Eek. Katharine McPhee was there as a guest. She is freaking gorgeous. Ugh. Hate her. (Just kidding, kind of).

I just read about the decision to split up Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into 2 movies. They should just make 1 movie (even if it’s lengthy) and be done with it. Thumbs down.

6:45am… far later than usual. So of course, I was running around like a crazy person trying to leave the apartment on time. When Rob’s out of town, I have to take a bus to the train station and that thing does not come all that often.

It’s been awhile. I *think* the last movie I saw was Enchanted. I totally want to see The Other Boleyn Girl and also Step Up 2 (shut up ). But I bet I won’t see any movies in the theatre until the summer blockbusters are released.

Paris. I have a love affair with the city.

It’s a tie between my 16th and 18th. For my 16th, I had a party at my house — invited lots of friends, my family prepared tons of food, and I had a DJ in the backyard so we could all dance. I don’t remember a lot of the details from that night but I know I was really happy. I celebrated my 18th during my first year in college and I was terribly homesick. My family and my friend Robyn came to visit. I don’t think we did anything special but just having them around was so nice.

I’m such a girl but it’s a tie between figure skating and gymnastics. I’m so excited this is an Olympics year!

Very low-key. Went to work, left early and then went to dinner with Rob. Then my cousin arrived that night for a weekend visit and we had a great time hanging out.

Get a dog. Well, it’s not that I thought I would NEVER get one… I just didn’t think Rob and I would get one so soon.
What has been your favorite moment(s)?
Getting engaged. Definitely. I seriously felt like I was floating; I was ridiculously happy.
What’s something you learned about yourself?
I realized that I have a tendency to sit back and let things happen to me… and if I want things to end up a certain way, I need to be the one to initiate the resolution/change.

Just our little furry monster Diesel.

May. Rob and I got engaged on the 12th and we brought Diesel home on the 26th. It was a good month.

I want to be happy instead of wishing I could be happy. I want to get in shape and lose a little weight. And I want to start preparing for the future (ie. save money for a home, etc).
