We saw “Program A” and my favorites were:
Soul Sector!!! They were THE BEST. They were clean and synchronized and their choreography was fresh and fun. (For all you America’s Best Dance Crew fans, some of their members performed as Supreme Soul on the MTV show).
Sunset. Little kids (think 6-13)! Dancing! Adorable.

FORMALity. Another junior group (I think — maybe high school/college?). Super energetic and lively crew!

Breaksk8. I didn’t care for them much when they were on ABDC but I really liked them live. They made the roller-dancing look so easy.

After the performance, which was at the Palace of Fine Arts, we walked over to the Presidio to check out the Yoda fountain at the Letterman Digital Arts Center, which (I think) houses LucasArts, ILM, and Lucasfilm. Luckily, I found a map online so we (ok, ROB) were able to find Yoda pretty quickly. Check us out!

Behind the fountain is a lobby which had a large replica of Darth Vader. SO AWESOME. The building was closed, though, so we could only peer into the windows. We must have looked like big dorks.

There was also a Starbucks on the campus which had this cool Yoda drawing on their chalkboard:

When we got home, we settled in to watch 24: Redemption. For the most part, I enjoyed the season 7 prequel/movie. But maybe that was because I was so starved for new 24?! I don’t really know. Regardless I thought it set up season 7 nicely and smoothly introduced the new players to the 24-verse.

2 Quick non-spoilery thoughts:
– Carly Pope (Sam) bugged BIG TIME. GUH. I can tell I’m going to be screaming at her through the TV. I hope she is evil so I can justify my HATE.
– Actually, I didn’t care for any of the new characters (President Taylor, Hodges, Sam, General Juma — the only “newbie” I like so far is Roger cause I think he is cute, heh ). Instead, I’m looking forward to seeing my favorite 24 faces — Chloe, Bill, etc.

Anyway, JACK IS BACK! OH YES.

Random — I’m not a HUGE fan of Beyonce but I love that Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) song. It’s so damn catchy.

Rob likes watching that Pussycat Dolls: Search for the Next Doll show on the CW. I don’t understand why. They’re all terrible. They make me cringe when they sing. :/ I can’t believe this show is keeping Veronica Mars and One Tree Hill off the air. Grrr.

So The Black Donnellys is cancelled. I have about 4 or 5 episodes saved on the Tivo (I never got past the pilot) — any TBD fans out there think I should go ahead and watch them? It looks like the remaining episodes are going to be streamed on NBC.com so at least the show will get some closure. I just wish NBC.com’s media player wasn’t so… SUCKY.

We had Dancing with the Stars on last night (I guess it was the results show) and I happened to catch Joey Fatone’s encore performance of the tango. OMG. It was the cheesiest thing EVER. Seriously. He and his partner did a Star Wars-themed tango. YES, REALLY. Joey was dressed as Anakin (or Obi-Wan, not quite sure) complete with braid down his back and his partner was dressed as Princess Leia. AND he had a lightsaber as a prop. WOW. That was classic. I love Joey. I didn’t realize that Apolo Anton Ohno and Ian Ziering were also on the show this season (maybe I did and forgot, I’ve been in a total work haze lately). I may have to start watching.

I’m so buying the Star Wars postage stamps when they’re released in May. I even voted for the stamp that should get its own sheet here. I’m a DORK.

Justin Timberlake just announced a second leg to his North American Tour. I wonder if I can convince someone to go with me again, hehe. The dates close to me are –

Thirty years after delivering thrills to Star Wars fans, R2-D2 is delivering mail.
The brave little droid will be promoting the movie’s 30th anniversary for Lucasfilm and a stamp that’s being produced in its honor by the Postal Service.

Postal officials are warning people looking for souvenirs that it’s a crime to tamper with mailboxes, even those in costume.

SO. COOL. What’s even COOLER is that Rob and I were in Berkeley yesterday morning and FOUND AN R2D2 MAILBOX. LOOK…

I totally wanted to have my picture taken next to it (I’m a geek, I know) but I had just come from the gym, I was in workout clothes, and my hair was crap so I refrained. Hopefully I’ll be better prepared next time. Heh.

I also found this teaser trailer that USPS/Lucasfilm released to promote the collaboration. I love you, R2-D2.

I found a link to the Ephram/Amy “I Love You” scene (I adore this scene — it’s just so simple and beautiful) so I began looking around for more Everwood videos. I stumbled upon a fantastic Ephram/Amy fanvideo that goes through some of their greatest moments as friends and then as a couple. SQUEE. So awesome.

But the BEST thing I found on YouTube (not Everwood-related) is this Star Wars-related clip from an episode of Robot Chicken. It’s of Darth Vader calling Emperor Palpatine and it is HILARIOUS. Watch it here.

American Idol
LOVED Bo. And surprisingly, Anthony as well. The girls were… average. Not really surprised that Anthony was eliminated — the vote was bound to be between him and Vonzell. She’ll be the one to go next week, though. I can’t imagine the producers allowing anything but a Bo and Carrie showdown.

One Tree Hill
OMG. Probably the best episode of the season. Really. It *almost* makes this disappointing season seem worth it. Almost. The alternate universe was great — so many nods to the first season (Haley’s hat, the N/H bracelet scene, Nathan wearing Lucas’s grey hoodie, Peyton’s Ramones t-shirt), and the characters were actually true to character, if that makes any sense. I mean, Haley was the smart, witty, and grounded girl I loved in the first season (too bad the “new” Haley appeared at the end, though) and Brooke was the fun and flighty cheerleader (who didn’t get lots of screentime, thank goodness — oh, the benefits of being Mrs. CMM!). Plus, how much did I love that Nathan and Haley were MEANT2B even in the alternate universe?! Aww. That was the best. James Lafferty and Chad Michael Murray also did a great job switching roles. I think I may have even liked JL’s version of “Lucas” better! I’m actually looking forward to the finale now.

Got tickets to see the midnight showing of Star Wars next week. SQUEE.

More moving this weekend. Oh joy.

Anyway, I also caught the series (no! *sob*) finale of Felicity. *Semi-spoilers ahead!* — It was umm… ok. I have to admit that I wasn’t crazy about the whole time-traveling idea but at least it helped me understand that Ben is Felicity’s destiny. The writers made that perfectly clear especially with Noel getting married. I’ll always be a FAN though — and watching all those flashbacks of their romance in season 1 made me miss them so much. ::sigh:: The ending shots of the cast were perfect — all of them laughing and smiling. But can someone explain to me why Elena was there at the end? Didn’t she die a few episodes earlier? And Tracy? I liked his character but I didn’t think he was that important to bring back for the final episode, much less the final scene. And I just loved the little “Thank you” commercial from the WB — they really did say “Hey” a lot.

But I just got home from watching Attack of the Clones again so I guess I’m a happy camper now.
