So I went to see Katie Holmes’s new movie Abandon<\/i> on Friday — eh, I didn’t like it. At all. It’s just that the entire movie plot was given away in the trailer (I mean, did I really need to see her holding that rock in her hands?) and the pacing of the movie was just really really slow. Plus, the worst offense of the movie was that there were just so many darn plot holes — like seriously, all of the detectives who worked on the missing person’s case are all idiots. The answer was RIGHT THERE! Geesh. I guess I was mostly disappointed because I’m a huge Katie fan (like you guys didn’t know ;)) and I really wanted the movie to be good and do well in the box office — but I’ve read a ton of reviews and none of them are what you would call “glowing.” Not that I’m surprised. However, I still think she did an awesome job carrying the movie even if she did slip into “Joey” mode a few times.
