I’m really really happy to be working (and making money!) again. It’s been a whole month since my last day at my old job and sitting at home every day just doesn’t have the same novelty now that it did back in late December. Watching old videos and sleeping late, as unbelievable as it may sound, got a bit tired.<\/p>\n
So… for the past 3 weeks, I’ve been searching job listings and writing cover letters like a madwoman because the thought of having no money to pay for rent(!) started to freak me out a little. BUT I didn’t want to settle for any old job, you know? I mean, that was the very reason why I quit my last one — I was sick of the work that wasn’t going anywhere in an industry that I had no desire to pursue a career in. So I told myself to take as long as I needed to find a job that I was happy with — can you imagine how psyched I was that it only took me a month? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Anyway, I’m going to be working at Clear Channel Communications<\/a> as an assistant in their advertising department — I’m very excited! I really finally feel, for the first time since graduating from college, that I’m on a real career path and it feels really good. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Sorry for being all schmoopy but I’m just so excited.<\/p>\n OMG!!! Did anyone see the promo for next week’s episode of Dawson’s Creek<\/i>? It made me all sad — the announcer said something like “Countdown to Goodbye — 10 all new episodes — The End of an Era.” Waaah! I’ve watched DC since Jan 98 and as dumb as it may sound, it helped me get through my college years. It was like a really good friend that I could count on every week. Or something like that.
