We started with coffee and sugary treats from Top Pot Doughnuts<\/a>. A Seattle institution. So good.<\/p>\n Like good tourists we headed down towards the water…<\/p>\n To Pike Place Market<\/a>. Of course, I also snuck in a visit to the very first Starbucks<\/a> so I could add a new mug (or two) to my collection. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n We’ve visited the Market before but it definitely deserves another visit!<\/p>\n After a nommy lunch at Pike Place Chowder<\/a>, we took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island<\/a>. I mostly wanted to enjoy the fabulous view of downtown Seattle…<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It didn’t disappoint. Gorgeous! As an aside, we really lucked out and had beautiful weather our entire trip. I packed layers anticipating it would be cool but we somehow managed to bring the Southern CA heat wave with us.<\/p>\n Arriving on Bainbridge Island!<\/p>\n We spent a few hours strolling down Winslow Way checking out the toy store and indulging in blackberry ice cream from Mora Iced Creamery<\/a>.<\/p>\n On the ferry back to downtown, we were treated to a lovely view of Mount Rainier<\/a>. WOW.<\/p>\n Speaking of scenic views, our hotel room had a FAB view of the Space Needle<\/a>. So iconic.<\/p>\n And here it is again at night!
