Wednesday night TV tired me out. My ramblings here (beware of Smallville, Angel, American Idol spoilers)…
Smallville
Probably the best season finale of this show’s 3 seasons. The opera montage at the end was fantastic. It’s weird seeing Lionel without his signature hair, though. But — Chloe! Nooooo!!! 🙁 She’s not one of the main leads of the show so I’m worried. *bites nails* And as a closeted Lex/Lana shipper, I loved their airport goodbye scene. MR and KK seem really comfortable together which comes across in their scenes as Lex and Lana. I can buy that they’ve become good friends. As for Clark and Lex, I can’t say I’m torn up about the fall of their friendship (though they are my favorite ‘ship) because they really haven’t been acting like friends all season long. Also, Kara? Not a good actress.
Angel
*sigh* I haven’t watched Angel regularly in a long time but I really wanted to see how the show would end. My initial reaction is that the episode was really rather depressing. I mean, the open ending? Just left me incredibly dissatisfied. Plus, by the time the end rolled around, I was already sad about Wes’s death. Guh. I loved Wes.
American Idol
So… a Diana/Fantasia showdown, huh? Meh.
Hey Kel! I’ve never really watched Smallville, but I bet I would really like it. Maybe I’ll rent the DVDs or something and catch up.
I agree with you completely about Smallville. I haven’t been that blown away (pardon the pun, *sniff* Chloe!) in a long time. Brilliantly done. Oh, and L/L. *evil grin* They love each other. Buwahahah. 😉
Angel, I felt the same way you did last night, but then I thought about it more this morning. I read someone’s blog and they mentioned it was appropriate for them to end "still fighting". I mean, we’ve been told that there is no final battle, there is no last stand. We are in the apocalypse right now. Every day of our lives is good vs. evil, so it makes sense that the fight never ends. I dunno, another way to look at it I guess. I personall was mad about Lindsey, but emotions for the cuteness aside, I guess it was apropos as well. *sigh*
Hi Kel, nothing to do with the blog, but…I hope you’re just surfing goclothing.com, but not actually buying anything. Don’t waste your money on things you could get through Mikey! Haha, unless he doesn’t have what you want of course ;).
By the way, if you’re in SoCal for the weekend of my bday, I’m having a party. I’ll give you a call and tell you about it later. Toodles 🙂
yeah kell…goclothing of all sites!?! p.s. revolve will be getting ella moss soon, which i know is one of your faves, so let us know if you want anything.
The Smallville finale was actually good! It was a pleasant suprise with the crappy-ish rest of the season. The final montage scene was done so perfectly with that opera music. Butbutbut! So many loose ends! It always drives me crazzzy! And Chloe?! Dead?! I definitely was loving the Lex/Lana moment, especially the fact that Clark saw it! 🙂
I felt sad about the Angel ending, but I guess it was appropriate. Although sad as hell. I was unspoiled and so upset over Wes dying, but as you know the Was/Illyria/Amy scene…loved!
didn’t know your site was up and running again…angel finale was pretty good except for the ending…it would have been better as a 2 hour finale…smallville was ok…didn’t like kara…i thought she was supposed to be supergirl, but i guess not…now that he knows that he can fly, maybe he’ll start flying next season…don’t know about the vaporization power…btw, did u bet 5 bucks on number 19?…
