The infamous Dawson’s Creek summer diaries have started… and ugh, they’re just as awful as I expected. The only time I actually looked forward to and enjoyed reading the diaries was the summer between Seasons 3 and 4… I’m sure you can imagine why. ::looks around wistfully at Pacey/Joey layout:: 😉
Here are some “highlights” —
Dawson, Dawson, Dawson… “Last year, I was the clumsy ingenue, the naive idealist with grandiose plans and no foreseeable means of implementing them. Instead of carving my path and taking the cinematic universe by storm, my admittedly egocentric grandstanding cost me my burgeoning career at the time. But life has fortuitously given me a second chance at this…” — WHAT?!? Dawson still *is* a naive idealist — I mean, come on. Has he gotten over Joey yet? Yeah, didn’t think so. The dream of “Dawson and Joey — soulmates forever” sounds like idealism to me.
Jack… ::yawn::
Joey… She’s tired of self-analysis yet she writes a poem about whether or not she should take the road less-traveled. Get over yourself, Joey. And wow, the writers thought they were being inventive by not revealing where Joey is spending her summer — is she in Paris? Is she in Capeside or Boston? Will the suspense never end? Heh.
Pacey… I don’t want to hear about any non-G rated adventures he’s having with Audrey. Ugh. But I have to admit I warmed up a bit when he mentioned Dawson… I kinda think it’s nice that they’re actually spending time together. Yes, I’m very much a sucker.
Jen… More of the same “my parents suck,” “I hate rich people” stuff, which I personally hate because the writers just CANNOT do justice to the storyline. Yet here they are… bringing it up again. ::sigh:: Jen deserves so much better.
AUDREY! … Is my cat’s name. Yes. Anyway, I was laughing my knickers off with what you said about Joey, heh. Ahhhh. Funny stuff. I personally can’t stand Dawson’s Creek… HEY DON’T HATE ME… heh… just saying. But yeah. Ahhh, funny stuff.
I must confess. I like Shane West, okay? I HATE MYSELF FOR IT TOO. But I do. I can’t help it. He’s a good actor. … Of course, his immense hotness helps a tad. Heh. Yes. Anyway, I be off to watch some TV now. Ta! =)
Uuugh. Dawson’s Desktop, and all its related projects are soooo evil. Do these people even watch the show?!?
haha, i read the diaries between season 3 and 4 too, but that was about it. i don’t think its fair for them to expect the storyline to continue through because in the diaries they sometimes get rid of characters and not everyone has computer access. 🙂
