I don’t know if I can watch The Apprentice this season. I tuned in to the premiere but I barely paid any attention. I think season 2 really killed the show for me. Ah well. I watch entirely too much TV nowadays anyway. Plus, I don’t think I can handle a whole season of “Unbelievable!” I mean, really.

apprentice s2 finale

Could The Apprentice finale have been *any* longer? I mean, really? 3 hours?! (possible spoilers ahead…)

The whole thing was overkill and the 3rd hour was entirely cheesy and pretty much useless. Well, except for Kwame and Troy being in the audience — seeing them again made me happy. Kelly winning wasn’t a surprise to me so I basically watched just to have some kind of closure to a really forgettable season. I didn’t think the contestants had any kind of chemistry and I didn’t have a single favorite at all. Not like last season when I was all about the Kwame. Hee. I had pretty much given up on the show but after seeing the promo for season three, my interest is piqued again. Separating the teams by “book smarts” and “street smarts” could spice the show up a bit. I’ll check it out. Cause you know, I have no willpower.

Got more holiday cards today — thanks Zinna and Sarah! I finished sending out my own cards today so hopefully you all will be receiving them soon!

The Apprentice is back! YAY.

I missed the boardroom. I missed George and Carolyn. And they’re back!

Don’t have any favorites yet — but the crazies have made quite a name for themselves already. Raj and Stacie J. *shakes head* Raj is straight-up bizarre. I mean, the cane? The red pants? And the bowtie? He reminds me of a clown. And Stacie J, oh my goodness. She’s a live wire, that one.

And did I hear correctly that the Saturday rerun will have 20 minutes of extra boardroom footage?! I’m such a sucker that I’ll probably try to catch it.

Also watched Joey tonight. I had low expectations for this show so I’m surprised to say that I really really liked it. It was funny! “Welcome to the Hollywood Minute. I’m name.” Bwah!

Squee! Got my tax return today. 😀 I know just what I’m going to splurge on — DVD sets! Now, the question is which one(s)? I want to get Gilmore Girls s1, Smallville s2, Buffy s6 and West Wing s1 or 2… Guh, it’s not going to be easy narrowing it down.

Speaking of DVDs, season 1 of Everwood is being released on DVD! Season 1 was the season of angsty Ephram/Amy *and* Colin… my beloved Colin. If anyone’s interested, the cover art and the extras are listed on TV Shows on DVD. There’s supposed to be deleted scenes, a gag reel, and commentary by Gregory Smith and Treat Williams. I’m a sucker for extras.

I also read that The Apprentice is coming out on DVD in August. I don’t know that I’d buy it but I’d be tempted. Because of Kwame. He was a great competitor. *cough* Heh.

Enough rambling — I have to get changed to go to the movie theatre (I’m wearing my Gryffindor t-shirt, hehe) to see Harry Potter… so excited!

Friday. Finally.

I’m really excited for this weekend because I’m heading to Las Vegas tomorrow. Woo hoo! I don’t have any money to do or buy anything but… whatever. I’m just looking forward to a weekend away and a Monday off.

Work is sooo boring today. Gawwd, just a few more hours…

Time to ramble about random things that pop into my head…

I’m *still* upset about Jasmine staying over La Toya on American Idol! WTH?! Jasmine was so awful on Tuesday night! Did nobody who voted for her hear how out of tune and all over the place she was? Good grief. Now there’s no one left for me to root for. I guess Diana is the lesser of all the evils but she doesn’t exactly inspire me to go out and buy her CD or anything. Eh. Here’s hoping that AI season 4 will make up for this trainwreck.

I need to get a copy of People’s 50 Most Beautiful People issue. I just found out that Kwame (the runner-up from The Apprentice) is in it. Eee! His picture is here. What a cutie.

Another picture I found that needs some pimping — Kiefer in a kilt! The man seriously looks good in anything.

Speaking of pretty boys in skirts, I’m hoping that I’ll be able to see Troy tonight. Brad Pitt, Eric Bana and Orlando Bloom? Yes please. 😀

There’s nothing like drowning yourself in TV to make yourself feel better…

One Tree Hill
Good grief — the pregnant storyline for Brooke?!? Ugh. So lame. They already have Karen and Jake to represent the teenage parents. Way to recycle plotlines, writers. Loved all the Nathan/Peyton interaction which totally surprised me because I didn’t like their relationship in the beginning of the show. I can see now that there was (and is still is) something deeper between them and they genuinely care about the other. I’d probably be open to Nathan/Peyton redux. Maybe. I’m also warming up to Hilarie Burton. She just seems more relaxed and comfortable where before she struck me as kind of stiff and awkward. Haley, Haley, Haley — I was so disappointed in the tattoo. It felt very out of character for me. I hope she doesn’t get hurt though. I adore her. And am I the only OTH fan who prefers Karen/Larry to Karen/Keith?

American Idol
No more voting for me, I think. I only like George and Jasmine at this point but tonight they were pretty… meh. Such horrible, horrible song choices. I don’t want either of them to go but they gave me no motivation to pick up the phone and actually vote. LaToya and Jennifer totally “wow-ed” me — they have such beautiful, strong voices — but for some reason, I can’t connect or relate to them in any way. *shrugs* Don’t particularly care for Fantasia or the two Jo(h)ns either. My track record hasn’t been very good but I’m going to predict that Diana’s going to get the boot tomorrow night.

The O.C.
LUKE! NO!!! *sniff* I can’t believe he’s moving to Portland. 🙁 I really liked his goodbye scene with Ryan — “Welcome to Portland, bitch!” I hope this move isn’t permanent. I thought Luke was a great character and I’m sure the writers could think up some great storylines for him next season. I’m keeping my fingers crossed! Still loving Seth/Summer. Their banter (tm Pacey and Joey) rocks. OMGtheyareSOcute! Especially during their yearbook scene. *sigh* Summer broke my heart when she said “Was I really mean to you?” Aww. Also? I don’t like Caleb. I may not be the biggest Marissa fan but blackmailing her was so wrong.

ER and the Apprentice

KWAME!!! Yay! I am *so* rooting for Kwame to win on The Apprentice. I just adore him even though he hasn’t really done much except manage to stay under the radar. I also loved how he and Troy reacted after being reunited. So cute! They’re like best friends for life. 😀 But good grief, Omarosa on my TV screen again? Crap. She was truly, truly awful. She was so incredibly incompetent and irresponsible that I wonder if she’s deliberately trying to ruin Kwame’s chances of winning. I wouldn’t put it past her.

Anyone know where I can find decent quality ER caps?!? I’m desperate, people. I watched the Neela/Gallant scene on tonight’s episode and totally and completely melted. Just when I think I might get invested in a couple, the writers have to take the relationship away from me. I can’t believe Gallant’s leaving. He’s my favorite (though completely underdeveloped) character on the show. I hope they don’t kill him off — I’d really love to see Sharif Atkins again. Oh, and a small casting spoiler about next season (don’t click if you don’t want to know) — whoo hoo!

Anyway, I can’t wait for tomorrow — I have a half day at work and then Rob and I are heading down the coast to stay in Monterey for Easter weekend. 🙂 It was a total spur of the moment vacation decision. We just made our rental car and hotel reservations this afternoon, lol. Hope everyone enjoys the holiday!

I got a raise at work! YAY me!

It’s not much really (and I don’t even make that much to begin with) but whatever. I’m just happy that my boss recognizes and appreciates my work. Kinda cool. 🙂

I’m so glad that FOX moved Wonderfalls to Thursday nights. I’ll actually be able to watch it now. Fabulous. There is one problem though — it’s on at the same time as The Apprentice! Cripes. Speaking of which, YES! Kwame stays another week. He’s my favorite to win the competition. Next week looks like tons of fun with 2 people getting fired. Awesome.

Huh. I was just checking out my site stats and came across this Kelly Clarkson fansite. Does the layout look familiar? It’s because it’s mine! ! %$#@! The webmaster is even direct linking the background. 🙁 Ugh. I don’t know if I should be flattered or upset. My head just started to hurt. [edit 4/4: She took it down. Thank geebus.]
