NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
24 has killed me dead.
🙁
It’s only typical that after a solid episode of Everwood, I would find out that the show is on hiatus until March. MARCH. !!! And all because the WB wants to air Beauty and the Geek 2. YUP.
Anyway. This episode totally revived my Ephram/Amy love. They’re still IT for me.
If I wasn’t such a huge 24 fan (OMG KIEFER), I would be SO UPSET with the Prison Break fall finale.
Well, okay, maybe I am a little annoyed. I’m not good with cliffhangers. :/ Especially since…
I am soooo behind on TV. I’m anxiously awaiting the Thanksgiving holiday next week so I can finally catch up. So a TV meme…
From Crystal…
My “Everybody Loves It And I Do Too” Show (s): Prison Break and Veronica Mars
My “I’ll Catch It on DVD” Shows: The West Wing. I only watched the show in real time during the first season. I’ve always caught up via the DVDs. I guess it’s just one of those shows that works better for me all at once.
My “I LOVE IT AND YOU SHOULD TOO” Show: Grey’s Anatomy. This show rocks.
My “I Love, But Keep Missing, Dammit” Show: Related. This is one of 3 shows I watch on Monday nights so I always end up missing it. I’m planning on downloading what I’ve missed and catching up when shows start going on hiatus for the holidays.
My Guilty Pleasure Show(s): The OC (stories aren’t as engaging and the characters aren’t really developing but gawd, I have such a crush on the prettiness! And the fashion!) and Las Vegas (Josh Duhamel. Enough said).
My “Comfort Food” Show: Everwood. Even when this show is tearing my heart into little pieces (ie. anything involving Colin in season 1, Ephram/Amy), it also makes me incredibly happy. I get a good feeling when I watch it. Silly, I KNOW! But yes, I get positively giddy when I sit down to watch the episodes. 😀
My “I’ll Never Abandon You, EVER” Show: Dawson’s Creek. Yes, still. HEE!
I’m listening to Christmas music right now. LOL. I’m so ready for the holiday season… it’s definitely my most favorite time of the year. I’ve even started my Christmas shopping. HEE!
I downloaded all 13 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire clips from The Leaky Cauldron and NONE of them had sound for me. Grrr. I guess I’m not meant to spoil myself for the movie, hee. (And Sarah, you’re totally right — the movie comes out on Nov 18. I’m just too excited! I can’t wait any longer, lol).
I think I have a new favorite celebrity couple — Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. I had absolutely NO CLUE that they were dating until I saw the cute pictures of them grocery shopping. Aww. It’s like Noah and Allie come to life!
An entry wouldn’t be complete without some TV stuff (possible spoilers ahead)…
Am I totally out of the loop? Has Kitchen Confidential been cancelled?
Prison Break is getting another 2 hour Monday event tomorrow so it has me wondering…
Everwood 4.05, Connect Four
This episode made me so happy. I am totally back on the Amy/Ephram train. Not that I ever really stopped loving them… it’s just that after the end of last season, I haven’t actually liked Ephram, which makes it pretty hard to ‘ship them. But as soon as he revealed to Andy that he came back because he’s still in love with Amy, I just melted. That said, I also like Reid/Amy. I was smiling so big during their first kiss. It was so sweet. I’m still not sold on Bright/Hannah but I am beginning to like them. Is that weird? Like, I still feel like they have nothing in common but I can appreciate their scenes now, particularly the one at the end of the episode when Hannah looked so happy to see Bright and he gazed down at her with such a sweet look (aww). Or maybe I’m starting to like them because I foresee a painful break-up? I do love angst, you know. Anyway, my favorite scene of the episode was when Bright was talking to Ephram about breaking up with Hannah. Those two have come so far since last season. I’m so proud. Plus, I just love the way Tom Amandes directed that scene…. with the camera looking up at B/E and the gorgeous mountain backdrop. Soooo pretty.
Grey’s Anatomy
I thought I was all about Derek/Meredith but I’ve learned… it’s ALL about Burke/Cristina. At the end of episode 2.04, when Burke got into bed with Cristina and held her, I think I might have swooned. That was one of the sweetest and most romantic scenes ever. I’m serious. I want those two crazy kids to work out.
One Tree Hill
Haley better not have kissed Chris at the Halloween party. How could he have known Nathan was going as Batman anyway? UGH. So I downloaded Peyton’s podcasts from iTunes out of curiosity and they’re okay. Nothing exciting, especially since Hilarie Burton has kind of a monotone voice. It’s actually an interesting way of tying the show to real life. In the first one, she talks through her feelings about her current storyline with Ellie and in the second one, she talks about music as a part of her life. If you’re not a Peyton fan, I’d skip it.
And for American Dreams fans, there was a good update on the extended finale on Ask Ausiello this week (Thanks to Robyn for the head’s up!)…
Just finished watching Prison Break 1.08, The Old Head.
Can you believe that I’ve actually been out *doing* stuff this past week? Thus, the lack of blogging. This also means I was totally behind on TV. Until today, which I spent doing my best impression of a couch potato. I have such weird TV viewing habits.
😛
So, the TV comments…
Holy back pain. I can barely concentrate on anything because it hurts for me to sit up or stand straight. I even spent most of the weekend in bed. I suppose I should go to the doctor. *wibble* 🙁
So, some good news — Supernatural has been picked up for a full season! Ahhh, TV never fails to make me feel better. At least I’ll have something good to watch on Tuesdays since Gilmore Girls is completely failing to deliver.
I feel like I’m always playing TV catch-up, lol (possible spoilers)…
Alias 5.02, … 1 …
It’s just not the same anymore. Weiss (possibly?) leaving is the last straw. Plus, there’s just too many newbies and they don’t interest me when there’s still lots of stories to tell about Sloane, Marshall, Nadia, etc (ie. the characters *already* on the show). At least the credits are new! (I love opening credits, I’m a dork). And they feature cast members other than Jennifer Garner! Awww. Not that I don’t love JG but, you know.
One Tree Hill 3.01, Like You Like An Arsonist
OMG, Nathan and Haley have killed me dead. That’s why I fell in love with them in s1. All their scenes were just so beautiful and angsty. OMGILOVETHEMSO. The scene where Haley goes over to Nathan’s bedroom and they say “Always and Forever” to each other is THE BEST EVER. Guh. As for the rest — I don’t care for Brooke/Lucas and I care even less about Peyton’s mom (and I normally love Peyton). On a shallow note, I don’t like Sophia’s bangs (AT. ALL) nor do I like BJL’s blonde hair (I know it’s her natural hair color but the brown hair from s1 was quintessential Haley). But I do love Hilarie’s new hair… much prettier than the curls. Oh, and just for the record, my money’s on Keith or Andy as the arsonist.
Related 1.01, Moving In, Moving Out, Moving On
Cute. Weak storylines, though. Especially for the youngest sister… college student who just dropped pre-med for the experimental art program. How original. I don’t know if this show will last, though — it has tough competition on Wednesdays (Lost, VM). But at least I know who Callum Blue is now! 🙂
Grey’s Anatomy 2.03, Make Me Lose Control
Ok. So maybe I’m warming up to Alex and Izzie. Damn it. I broke too easily. But maybe a relationship between them will give Izzie more screen time. I feel like she’s the character that gets shafted so we don’t know anything about her. 🙁 I want to see more Izzie! But OMG did Cristina/Burke tear my heart to pieces. I just about died when Burke was looking at the surgery board and realizing that Cristina was pregnant. And then when he got choked up as he was talking to his patient about a “broken heart.” *sniff* Gawd, Isaiah Washington is so good. This storyline definitely trumps the Meredith/Derek/Addison drama. So does anyone else think that there was something going on between Ellis Grey and the Chief back in the day? Hmmm.
Squee, my Veronica Mars DVDs have shipped! YAY!
I really really want to go to Disneyland. When I was still in elementary school, I went to Disneyland every year for my birthday with my parents. I guess I’m just feeling nostalgic. Plus, I’ve heard Space Mountain is open again! I LOVE Space Mountain. It’s my all-time favorite ride ever. Hmmm. Maybe for Christmas…
I’ve discovered lots of great artists and songs from all of you so I thought I would return the favor and upload some of my current “songs of the moment.” 🙂

And some VERY brief TV talk while I’m here (beware spoilers)…
Veronica Mars, 2.02, Driver Ed
Wasn’t feeling this episode at all. It was all Jackie’s fault. She SUCKS. But yay Meg!
Gilmore Girls, 2.04, Always a Godmother, Never a God
How rude was Lorelai during the baptism?! UGH. If I were Sookie, I would have thrown her out. That entire scene was obnoxious. It made me so mad!
Prison Break, 1.07, Part 2
EEK. T-Bags is so awful. I hope he’s offed and doesn’t get a chance to escape. The actor who plays him is amazing, though. I seriously feel icky and squirmish watching him onscreen. *shudders* Anyway, loved the Michael/Sara interaction (ie. sexual tension :P) and the Michael/Lincoln hug at the end (you can just tell all is right with the world when they see each other). Too bad we have to wait 3 weeks for the next episode. Stupid baseball.
Ahhh, Everwood is back! SQUEE. But I’m still pissed that it’s on Thursdays. Stupid WB. They need to hurry up and cancel Just Legal so EW can move back to Mondays.
So, the episode (spoilers below)…
1. I think they killed Andy/Nina. Which makes me sad. I supported Jake/Nina last season because I thought he was good for her for the time being (ie. while Andy was wasting his time with Amanda). I imagined Nina being the one to help Andy through the summer with Ephram gone… not going to Hawaii with Jake! *sniff* But as much as I love Andy/Nina, I don’t want the writers to perform character assassination on Jake either. I like him! And I don’t want to dislike him. 🙁 Especially after he came up with the perfect name for Nina’s restaurant. (But I was *shocked* that Nina picked that time to realize she was really in love with him — I think she just *wants* to love him because he’s so obviously in love — or obsessed — with her). So, yeah. I’m conflicted.
2. Love that Bright keeps a framed picture of Colin. *sniff* Totally made the episode for me.
3. So this Reid character. So far I like him (doesn’t hurt that he’s cute) and I can totally see Amy crushing on him. But I don’t think he’s gay. It felt like too much of a big reveal for the premiere.
4. Emily VanCamp is freaking gorgeous. *girlcrush* She’s just so radiant. And her new haircut looks really great on her. I’ll miss her loooong hair, though — it’ll always be her signature look to me.
5. . Finally, Hannah and Bright. I don’t know, guys. I *thought* I liked them — I mean, who can forget their ketchup scene last season? But now that they’re actually together, I’m not feeling it. They make me cringe (it doesn’t help that Sarah Drew looks *years* younger than Chris Pratt). They just don’t seem right for each other. I think Bright really believes he likes Hannah but I get the feeling that Hannah still looks at Bright as a fantasy and not as anything serious or real. I’ll have to see how it goes.
Anyway, is it just me or is The OC really boring right now?
