I am now a huge Moulin Rouge fan. I just bought the DVD over the weekend and I finally got the chance to watch it today — and I just fell in love with the movie. I saw it in the theatre last June but I didn’t connect with the emotions the way I did today. ::sigh:: What a great movie — I have the soundtrack on repeat now. How wonderful life is now you’re in the world…

So I went to see the new Josh Hartnett movie last Friday (“40 Days and 40 Nights”) — it was a lot better than I expected. It was pretty funny, if even a bit corny and a LOT raunchy. But whatever… it’s Josh Hartnett baby!

On Saturday night, Rob and I rented “O,” which I found to be a really amazing movie. Sure it’s violent and disturbing and scary, but I think it says a lot about the power of manipulation and the control that jealousy has over people. Julia Stiles, Mekhi Phifer and Josh Hartnett (again!) were phenomenal in their roles — JH especially. His character was a sharp contrast from the “nice guy” roles he’s done in the past. It’s not a movie that you’d want to see over and over again but it’s definitely worth at least one viewing.
