victor and susie’s wedding

Had a fantastic weekend. Victor and Susie’s wedding was just beautiful. The ceremony had me crying — I’m such a sucker. :) The reception was a lot of fun too, especially since I was seated with all of Rob’s crazy friends. Hehehe, they were so drunk. And loud. And pretty damn hilarious.

I ended up “catching” the bouquet which was cool cause I’ll have a special picture with Susie in her wedding photo book. I say “catching” because I actually picked it up off the floor. When Susie threw her bouquet, all of us girls moved out of its way to avoid actually catching it so it fell straight to the ground and broke into a few different pieces. We all kind of stared at it for a few minutes and then I finally just decided to pick it up since I felt bad.

Anyway, a few pics just for kicks…

The picture on the left is of Rob (the boyfriend!), Susie and Victor. This was after the ceremony. The middle picture is Rob and ME! We look totally shiny. Hey, it is HOT in southern CA. I forgot how hot it can be down there. The picture on the right is Rob and his friends (and mine too!) that he’s known forever. Crazies.

Good times, good times.

laziness

First off…

HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY ROBYN!

:)

So last Saturday, Rob’s car broke down. It just stopped as we were driving out of our parking garage. We thought it was the battery but after trying 2 different sets of jumper cables, that wasn’t the problem. So ever since then, we’ve had to take public transportation to work (I do this most of the time anyway so it’s not really a big deal for me) AND we’ve been stuck within walking distance of our apartment if we want to go out to eat or do anything. Which isn’t that much fun. It almost makes me want to go out and get my driver’s license. *Almost.* Heh.

Anyway. Rob and I did manage to get out of the apartment today and walk (it was freaking hot today too! UGH) to the movie theatre to watch Harry Potter again — yay! I loved it so much more after the second viewing. I want to post more comprehensive thoughts but that’ll probably have to wait til tomorrow because I’ve been hit with the lazy stick tonight.

But I will say that my crush on Dan Radcliffe is firmly intact. Guh. I’m like, 10 years older than him!

friday ramblings

Friday. Finally.

I’m really excited for this weekend because I’m heading to Las Vegas tomorrow. Woo hoo! I don’t have any money to do or buy anything but… whatever. I’m just looking forward to a weekend away and a Monday off.

Work is sooo boring today. Gawwd, just a few more hours…

Time to ramble about random things that pop into my head…

I’m *still* upset about Jasmine staying over La Toya on American Idol! WTH?! Jasmine was so awful on Tuesday night! Did nobody who voted for her hear how out of tune and all over the place she was? Good grief. Now there’s no one left for me to root for. I guess Diana is the lesser of all the evils but she doesn’t exactly inspire me to go out and buy her CD or anything. Eh. Here’s hoping that AI season 4 will make up for this trainwreck.

I need to get a copy of People’s 50 Most Beautiful People issue. I just found out that Kwame (the runner-up from The Apprentice) is in it. Eee! His picture is here. What a cutie.

Another picture I found that needs some pimping — Kiefer in a kilt! The man seriously looks good in anything.

Speaking of pretty boys in skirts, I’m hoping that I’ll be able to see Troy tonight. Brad Pitt, Eric Bana and Orlando Bloom? Yes please. :D

rob and william hung

Wow, it’s been awhile since I’ve blogged… My cousin was in town this past week so I spent my time hanging out with her. I even managed to score 2 days off from work! :) We had a grand old time shopping, cooking, and getting our nails done — all the girly things we love to do together!

OH! For all you American Idol viewers, this might interest you, lol. My boyfriend was having lunch with his co-workers last Friday and they ran into William Hung! See the picture below (yes, that’s my boyfriend Rob on the left)…

Hee!

laziness

I’m experiencing a severe bout of laziness at the moment. It’s affecting my online life, my real life, my work (which by the way, I hate right now due to an evil tool of a co-worker)…

Ugh. I’m in such a funk. I need a vacation.

sock monster

Don’t you hate when you do laundry and somehow lose multiple socks in the process?!? GAH.

There’s a freaking sock monster. And he is out to get my socks.

I’m sure I’m going to regret this entry in the morning. *yawn*

have a great holiday!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to wish you all a happy holidays before I head off on my little vacation. I’m at my dad’s house in Southern California right now and I’m about to head off to the airport for my holiday trip to the Philippines and Thailand. I’ve been quite rushed these past few days with work so I apologize for not sending out holiday fansigns and such. I hope you all know how much I love all of you! :D

I’ll be back on January 2nd — talk to you all then!

vegas trip

I can’t believe I have to go back to work tomorrow. Guh.

Sooo I had a pretty rocking 4-day weekend. Rob and I had a great time in Vegas. We ate tons of food, he gambled (and even won a little!), and I shopped. :D Good times. Got home yesterday afternoon with a raging fever and a stuffy nose. Sucks. It seems like I’m always sick nowadays. Boo.

HEE! I’m currently watching VH1′S Big in 03 and they just had the award for Big Shocking Moment — and it was Ruben winning the American Idol crown over Clay. But the best part was that the presenters then announed that they were bringing out the person that should have won and it was Frenchie! Bwah. Also loved that The O.C. won the award for Biggest Guiltiest Pleasure. So cute to see the whole cast. But I missed Matchbox 20. *sniff* I have to catch a rerun.

Doing the Friday Five for good measure:

Do you like to shop? Why or why not? HELL YEAH!!! hehe. I don’t really know *why.* I just know that I do. Love shopping, that is. :D

What was the last thing you purchased? Some tarts from the Yankee Candle Company. Love these things. They make my apartment smell yummy.

Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why? Shopping at an actual store. Especially for clothes. I have a really weird figure so it’s difficult for me to buy stuff online because I don’t get to try the stuff on.

Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it? Does lunch money count? If not, then no allowance for me. But I’m an only child so if I asked, I usually got what I wanted. Within reason, of course. :D

What was the last thing you regret purchasing? A Hard Candy nail polish set from Sephora. Their nail polish was awful — very thin and chipped quickly.

[EDIT] What is wrong with the time on this entry? Grr. I can’t seem to fix GM to be the right time… BOO.

… and i’m back

… so I’m back.

The downtime and server trouble is one long frustrating story that I just don’t want to get into right now. Blah. *So* not what I needed right now what with the holidays approaching and work causing enough stress. Sadly I lost a few months of blog entries but no sites or databases. Phew… my paranoia pays off finally. I’m just so sad that some of my hostees lost their files — I hope no one is too mad at me. I feel responsible. :( Bad server.

Anyway, I turned the downtime into a mini-hiatus for myself. I wasn’t on the internet as much as I usually am and I actually had the time to do stuff I keep telling myself I have to do like clean out my exploding closet, bring donations to Goodwill, make my travel arrangements for the holidays, etc. I also found myself watching tons of movies — I saw…

Love Actually — RAVE! I adore this movie — Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman… need I say more? ;)
Elf — Another RAVE! Too funny. “Santa! I know him!” Bwah. Will Ferrell rocks.
Matrix Revolutions — Errr. I’m torn. It was a good movie but as the ending to the trilogy? A little disappointing, I have to say.
Scary Movie 3 — Funny but totally forgettable. Cool cameos though.
Gangs of New York — I’ve heard so many bad reviews about this movie but I really enjoyed it. Leo and Daniel Day-Lewis were excellent.
Terminator 3 — Meh. I expected more — and all I got was a set up for T4. I watched this and kept thinking, “omg, Arnold is going to be the governor of my state in a few days.” So weird.

I think that’s it. OH! OMG! I finally downloaded the new Harry Potter trailer. Eeee! It has a really haunting feel to it. I wish it was June already, lol.

But for now, I’m just excited for tomorrow — right after work, I’m going to head over to Best Buy to pick up the new Britney album (yes, I’m a Britney fan :P ), the extended edition of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and hopefully the season 1 DVD set of The West Wing. After tomorrow I’m not going to have any money left for Christmas presents! Hehe.

And I’m off to catch up on my dailies… it’s been so long…
