grammys

I can’t believe the weekend’s already over… back to work tomorrow…

Wow, I never thought I would say this but I really enjoyed the Grammys this year. I usually watch them for the sake of watching and not for any real desire to see who was going to win any awards. But this year there were so many great performers, I actually found myself enjoying it. I adored John Mayer — he’s so good live! And is he really only 16?!? I like to say that I’m a fan of his but I did not know that, lol. Love love loved Norah Jones. I’m so into her right now. I’ve had her CD on repeat for awhile now — her voice is just so mellow and beautiful. I’m so happy she won all the awards she did. She genuinely looked so surprised and happy. And NSync! It was so good to see them singing together again, except what the hell did JC do to his hair! Cut it off. Anyway, they really did a fabulous job with the BeeGees medley. *sigh* I also really enjoyed No Doubt, Simon & Garfunkel (my dad would be proud! lol) and Eminem (the RunDMC ending rocked). The one thing I thought was really weird was that there was no host. It kinda worked and it kinda didn’t at the same time. Oh, and Erykah Badu made herself look like a freaking idiot. Ugh.

Speaking of music — I got my Justin Timberlake concert tickets! Whee! 🙂 And I had no idea he was touring with Christina Aguilera until today. Should be very interesting. Can’t wait til June.

telemundo

BWAH! I just saw the funniest thing on TV — *N Sync was on the Spanish channel Telemundo playing foozball. Then at the end, the host was speaking in Spanish really fast and the guys were just kinda standing there trying to look as if they knew what he was saying. ‘Twas funny, it was. Well, maybe just to me. *sigh*

Umm, well, because my life is pretty boring right now… I’ll do the Friday Five.

Where are you right now? Sitting at the dining table, which is the temporary locale for my laptop. I have yet to move my desktop computer off my desk and package it to send to my dad.

What time is it? It’s about 2:30 AM. I’m a night person, what can I say?

What are you wearing? I’m wearing gray sweats and a gray CAL Berkeley sweatshirt. Go bears!

Any people or animals around you? Describe them. My boyfriend Rob is sitting in the living room watching ESPN. No animals.

What are your plans for the weekend? Not much. Went to the grocery store today and bought the best orange juice ever from Trader Joe’s. Yum. Then Rob and I went to Best Buy to buy the Buffy s3 DVDs. And of course, they were out of stock. Grr. Got a raincheck though so I’ll get the sale price when they do come in. As for tomorrow, I’m going to the mall — I just have this urge to buy clothes. 😛

And thanks to everyone who commented on the layout — I really appreciate all the wonderful feedback. *smiles*

not in the mood

Gah. I’ve been playing with PSP all night trying to make a few wallpapers of some of the great P/Jo moments in Season 3. But once I get the screen caps to be semi-decent, I can’t freaking blend all the pictures together so they look like a collage. 🙁 They just look like a bunch of pictures stuck together. I just don’t have the talent. Waah. Must practice until I want to kick PSP cause you know, that’ll make it do exactly what I want.

Plus, when I was surfing the net for DC screen caps, the only place that has any is Katie Holmes Pictures and of course, the caps consist mostly of Katie. I need caps of the rest of the cast too, especially Pacey — I mean, it’s really hard to make a P/Jo wallpaper when all the pics are of Joey and the back of Pacey’s head! Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person in the DC fandom. I mean, if you look at the FanArt board on Fan Forum, the Roswell, BtVS and Smallville threads are thriving with a good number of fan artists posting. But the DC threads are completely lifeless. ::sigh:: It’s kinda sad cause I so *heart* DC (well, as long as I can pretend Coda and S5 didn’t exist). It almost makes me want to learn how to make screen caps so I can feed my own need for pics. *Almost.* But not quite. I just don’t have the time.

Anyway, I was watching Harry Potter earlier and I just love Hermione — “I’m going to bed before either of you come up with another brilliant plan to get us killed, or worse, expelled.” Oh! And I love this line too — “It’s Wingardium LeviOOOsa not LeviosAAA.” Hee. Spunky that one. Hmm, I also got my *N Sync Pop Odyssey Tour DVD (yes, I am a fan) in the mail today (thanks Amazon!) — I must go see if I can steal the TV. 🙂

Special shout out to Down South Rob and Sebastian (only $152 per cheek! I’ll take it!) — My Rob got you guys some Star Wars toys. 🙂

blah – i’m sick

Blah — I’m sick. 🙁

I had a slight fever yesterday so I spent pretty much the entire night in bed after I returned home from work. *sigh* Being sick sucks.
To make matters worse, *N Sync is here in concert tomorrow (well, technically today cause it’s past midnight) and I’m not going. ::sobs:: The past 2 times they’ve come to Oakland, I’VE been there… I even flew to Las Vegas to see them during one of their arena tours. *I was die hard.* But now, I’m just broke. Argh.

BtVS was pretty good tonight… I loved all the angst and pained looks between Buffy and Spike. ::sigh:: They could have been great. And OMG, I feel so *horrible* for Anya — weird though, cause I’ve never felt anything for her before. Sure, I liked her — she’s funny and candid but I always thought of her as more of a peripheral character. ::shrugs:: But still, she must be hurting.
