smallville shippery goodness

One thing I really love about Smallville is that the writers really know how to cater to all shipper fanbases (unlike DC writers who like to insult fans with the soulmate anvils they throw around). Like in tonight’s episode “Stray,” fans of Clark/Chloe, Clark/Lana, Clark/Lex, even Lex/Lionel could all leave the episode feeling that the relationship (romantic or otherwise) between their chosen pairing had been hinted at and acknowledged.

My favorite quote of the episode was from Lex to Lionel — “I’ve waited to hear other things from you for a lot longer.” ::sob:: I also loved all the interaction between Clark and Chloe — I may not be a shipper of these two but I have to admit that her infatuation and his oblivion is rather endearing.

And yay (or maybe not), Dawson’s Creek’s 100th episode is tomorrow. 🙂

michael rosenbaum madness

I saw Michael Rosenbaum on The Best Damn Sports Show Period last night — he was SO funny — I think my crush on him has grown exponentially. lol. He was supposed to be promoting his new movie Sorority Boys but Tom Arnold kept asking him to do impressions – he did Christopher Walken and John Malkovich. He was dead on – freaking HILARIOUS.

And better late than never – my Friday Five.

What is your favorite time of year? I used to love summer because I always looked forward to the three months that I had a vacation from school. Now I no longer have that luxury. I guess I’d have to say winter.

What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season? The holidays – it’s such a family-oriented time of year. Plus, I’m such a sucker for all the Christmas decorations. 😛

What is your least favorite time of year? Why? Probably spring cause of all the rain. Blah.

Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons? Umm, not really. The only thing is that when spring/summer rolls around, I’ll dry clean all my sweaters and jackets so they’ll be nice and clean when the cold weather arrives. lol.

What’s your favorite thing to do outside? I’m not really much of an “outdoorsy” person but I really love having barbeques in the summer with friends. The warm weather, the smell of the grill and watermelons. Yum!

thanks joy! :)

I was having a pretty “blah” day and then I get an email from Joy with a link to her bee-yoo-ti-ful new Katie Holmes wallpaper. Thanks for thinking of me. *hugs*

I have to get my hands on the Rollingstone magazine — I saw one today at a newstand near my work but *of course,* I didn’t have any money. Argh. Anyway, the entire article is at Rollingstone.com — it’s a fun read. It totally cemented my weird crush on Michael Rosenbaum. ::drool:: He’s such a riot. I especially loved this:

“Don’t you remember anything about the accident?” Rosenbaum asks Welling.
“I remember pulling you out,” says Welling. “That’s all.”
“You sure you don’t remember anything?” asks Rosenbaum. He pauses. He lifts an eyebrow. Finally displaying his own intuitive feel for the zeitgeist, he says, “My ass was sore afterward. You sure you didn’t give me a superfuck?”

BWAH! Love it.

smallville rocks the house!

I’m feeling a bit better today — thanks and huge *hugs* to everyone who wished me well. You guys are the best!

Rollingstone magazine is featuring Kristin Kreuk, Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum, otherwise known as Lana, Clark and Lex from Smallville, in their latest issue, which should hit newstands this Friday. The pictures that are included with the article are *amazing.* They’re all so cute together. 🙂

Tuesday Night TV

Just got done watching Tuesday Night TV! 😀 Good TV tonight… well, with the exception of Buffy. I couldn’t really get into the episode because of the BAD ACTING! Maybe I was just annoyed because I love Spike and he showed his stupid side with that whole doctor crap. ::rolleyes:: Or MAYBE Riley and Sam really *are* cardboard cutouts of REAL people! ::sigh:: I was looking forward to seeing Riley again (believe it or not, I have a soft spot for the guy) but he had to hit me over the head with his monotone voice and sheer lack of emotion. I don’t remember him being that… boring. ::looks around:: But I have to admit, he reeled me in when he was telling Buffy that she was his first love. I was always sad that those two never had any real closure. And the ending… I call myself a Buffy/Spike shipper but I can’t help but think that they’re better off apart. I wish the writers had done something different with them… they had so much potential.

For a show that is in serious danger of being cancelled, Roswell was really good… any Dreamer will love this episode. It’s not really a romantic episode but you get a real sense of the amazing connection that Max and Liz share. From the flashes of Liz that Max kept seeing as he was in Clayton’s body to the end when Liz brings back Max– these two showed me that what they have, their love (“I have to go to her. She’s the love of my life.”), is something worth fighting for. An added bonus– all the Liz/Maria scenes. My favorite quote of the episode is a piece of dialogue between them– Liz: “Do you know you’re like the most specialest person in the world to me?” Maria: “Right back at ya.” 🙂 I love them.

Smallville’s latest episode was also pretty exciting– I didn’t care too much about the Whitney/robbers storyline as much as I liked all the character interaction. I can never get enough of Clark and Lex (it’s just a huge plus that they’re both yummy!). Lex made me go “Aww!” when he said “I didn’t come here for the disk. I came here to help out a friend”– or something like that. I don’t remember the exact quote. heh. I also loved the Lex/Lana scene at the end… Lex hit the nail right on the head when he said “I think this is the beginning of an interesting partnership.” It is indeed.
