I got my Roswell DVDs today! 😀 Season 1 is all mine! Gotta watch a couple of episodes before I go to bed…
So Rob and I had a really mellow Valentine’s Day. We did the whole “dinner and a movie” thing. 🙂 We saw Win A Date With Tad Hamilton which was good, cheesy fun. I LOVE Josh Duhamel. He was mighty cute in this movie. Hee. But I don’t know if it’s just me but I did *not* like Topher Grace’s character. At all. I know the audience was supposed to root for him to get the girl but I just didn’t. And I’m usually such a romantic.
Also watched Lost in Translation and Grind this weekend. LiT was beautiful — such a simple but really touching story. I was really impressed with both Bill Murray (loved his singing, hee) and Scarlett Johansson (she does lonely *so* well). Grind was one of those movies that you just want to forget about once it’s over. It was painful. Seriously. I only rented it because Adam Brody is in it, lol. He couldn’t even save the movie for me.

Totally random blog cause I’m medicated and just a little bit loopy…
In addition to being sick this past week, I lost a contact lens. So I had to wear my glasses. Guh. I have a really high prescription and my glasses are *heavy.* They weigh down on my face and give me a headache after a few hours of wearing them. They are evil. I have to wait a week, I think, for my new contact lens. This upsets me.
I’m also upset because I don’t have a 3-day weekend like the rest of my company. Humph. My division doesn’t have Monday off. Apparently we don’t recognize President’s Day as a holiday.
I also realize that my creekdaze domain is redirecting to some other site. My registrar messed up. %$#@! They keep telling me that it’s going to be fixed soon… *screams*
Some good news — I got my Britney Spears tickets! Hee. I didn’t manage to score free tickets from work but a co-worker did give me a head’s up when a second round of tickets was released to the general public. They’re lower level tickets but they’re pretty far back. Not as good as I would have liked but it’s cool. The only down side is that the concert is on a Tuesday (March 9)! Madness.
Okee dokee… gonna go get ready for Valentine’s Day dinner with Rob. 🙂 We’re going to have seafood. Mmm… YUM.
Yup, Ephram and Madison did the deed on Everwood. And surprisingly, I’m fine with it, lol. When I first heard about it, I was dreading the episode but I guess that’s why I love the show so much — there’s no sugar-coating. Ephram and Madison are together. They’re going to have sex. Like normal teenagers. In real life, you don’t always lose your virginity to the person you’re going to end up with. The only thing is that I wish they would make Madison just a tiny bit more sympathetic. I absolutely hated the way she said “sweetie” after Ephram’s… umm, his “scene.” (You guys know what I’m talking about).
Amy/Tommy. UGH. I just hate where this story is going. Just *once* I’d like to see a “bad boy” on a TV show who actually tried and succeeded in being “good.” I’m so tired of the whole “a bad boy can never turn his back on his past” type storylines. I thought the writers were going to surprise me. Guess not. As for Amy, I’m glad she’s finally using her brain and she actually listened to Laynie about Tommy. I totally thought Amy wasn’t going to believe her.
Yay Laynie! I’m glad they brought her back. I wish they would do more with her. 🙁

I have a crush on Pharrell and Chad from N.E.R.D. I just think they’re so cute. AND they’re all multi-talented and stuff. Hee.
Beyonce. Loved her hair in the performance with Prince. She looked gorgeous. Not crazy about the dress though. I rarely like anything that pink.
Christina. Her performance rocked but what was with the hair?!? Ghastly. And what was with her red carpet dress?
Matthew Perry and John Mayer. *giggles* LOVE them BOTH. I loved seeing them present together. And seriously? I had *no* idea JM was so tall. He was totally towering over MP.
Andre from Outkast had THE BEST acceptance speech. EVER. “Thank you.” BWAH.

Eh… I stopped watching after the Earth, Wind and Fire/Outkast performance. I was dying — it was *that* boring. And long. Geesh — 19 performances? I thought this was an awards show. Crazy.
Don’t you hate when you do laundry and somehow lose multiple socks in the process?!? GAH.
There’s a freaking sock monster. And he is out to get my socks.

I really enjoyed this episode of Everwood. I was starting to think the writers had lost their minds with the lack of Nina and Ephram/Amy interaction. But nope, it turns out it was a plotline this whole time! I adore Nina (she’s just so so cool) and I was so happy to see her back again. I’m glad she didn’t let Andy get away with being a horrible friend to her. And I felt so horrible for her when Sam crashed the car.
Still don’t like Ephram/Madison. I don’t like the way Madison treats Ephram — like just cause she’s older she’s the be all and end all regarding relationships/feelings, etc. Ugh. She just completely rubs me the wrong way.
I was actually really enjoying Tommy/Amy (Alie, don’t kill me!) but now I feel like I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop what with Tommy lying to Amy about work and getting her a super-expensive Blackberry as a present. I was hoping the writers would do away with the stereotypical bad boy boyfriend thing but it looks like that’s where we’re headed. <-- That's NOT a spoiler by the way. Just some speculation on my part. I also really enjoyed all the Ephram/Amy scenes. The show was really missing something (for me) in the past few episodes without any interaction between them. I'm glad to see that they have the kind of relationship where they can get mad at each other and still come to an understanding. It's so great to see them rebuilding their relationship. Bright rocks. Totally. Some quotes that I loved: Bright: "Bro, you're killing me here, man. All this talking and caring and writing cheesy love songs. Is it just me or are the *same exact* people always doing the Real World/Road Rules challenges? Coral, Darrell, Veronica, Mike, Trishelle, Katie, Shane, etc. — you were all on the previous challenge! I don’t need to see you all again! And where in the world is Jonny Moseley? This new host is not cutting it. At all. I always complain about this show but I’m sure I’ll keep watching. Damn guilty pleasure and all that.

So I didn’t watch the Super Bowl but I always make it a point to watch the halftime show. I thought it was pretty… meh. Even Janet and Justin couldn’t save it for me. And I normally love them.
Remember when I was all upset because I didn’t get tickets to the upcoming Britney Spears tour? Well, I just found out some news that may or may not help me out. It turns out that my company is producing the tour. !!! There *has* to be some way for me to score some tickets. Right?!? I just need to find the right people. This will be my goal at work tomorrow.
