$@!# guestbook

$@!# Megabook!

I don’t understand — this is the *second* time my guestbook has crapped out on me. It’s a conspiracy! Gah — is anyone really familiar with Megabook? When I go to the admin panel, it doesn’t accept my password even though I know the password I put in is completely right. And the guestbook no longer shows up. Stupid thing. *kicks guestbook*

B U T… yay for the new episode of Dawson’s Creek! The possibility of Pacey/Joey, the rekindling of Dawson/Pacey — *sigh* — loved it. 😀

linkin park

Got my new Linkin Park CD today! Wheeeeeeeee! It’s definitely a must-listen — I am currently in love with Somewhere I Belong, Hit the Floor, Faint, and Nobody’s Listening. Awesome stuff.

New DC tomorrow! The last 8 episodes — *sniff*

it begins

Did anyone catch the pilot episode of Dawson’s Creek tonight? Ahhh, so many good memories came back. The pilot is definitely one of my most favorite episodes — I can’t wait for the DVDs! There were so many awesome quotes —

“Did you notice the long fingers?”

“I like your hair color — what number is that?”

“I reject reality.” (This is my favorite scene in the entire episode — Dawson/Jen rock!)

“You did it again — you grabbed me ass.” “Like you even have one.”

“Please, years ago. To a trucker named Bubba.”

Fun stuff — what happened to those snarky characters?!? Dawson, Jen, Pacey and Joey just seemed more genuine and real back then. *sigh*

Ok, some more answers to your questions…

What would you rather be? Deaf or blind? Why?
I would rather be deaf. With the power of sight, I don’t think I would feel as detached from everything. I would be able to see the people I love and communicate with them through written word. I would be able to watch TV with the subtitles on. And I would be able to read books, which is something that I love to do.

Were you in any clubs or on any sports teams in high school? if so, what team(s)/club(s)?
I didn’t play any sports, ie. soccer, basketball. But I was on the dance team as a freshman and for the last three years of HS, I was on the pep squad as a Songleader. My other major extracurricular activity was the filipino club — I was heavily involved as a junior and as a senior when I took the office of Dance Troupe Coordinator. We held an annual show featuring skits and cultural dances and I was responsible for putting it together. Both these activities are some of my most favorite memories from high school. Look at me, I’m getting all nostalgic!

What do you think of this war?
To be quite honest, I’m not the most informed citizen. I don’t watch the news as often as I should and even then, the news broadcasts I do watch tend to focus more on local news rather than national or foreign news. I guess I function in my own little bubble — which I’m not proud to admit. I *should* know what’s going on and I don’t — it’s only now that the war has actually started that I’ve been scouring the net for articles and stories. Anyway, to answer the question — I really don’t know what to think. I’m not anti-war but I’m not pro-war either. I understand the motive behind it but I don’t understand why there can’t be another resolution. One that won’t leave me feeling depressed after watching the news or after seeing the pained face of my boss whose husband just got activated. It’s pretty terrifying.

These questions are definitely keeping me on my toes! More questions — more! 🙂

castaways

Eeeee!!! I can’t speak. Too happy. 🙂 So. Much. P/Jo. Cuteness. “Castaways” was one of those episodes that went by way too fast — I seriously looked at the clock at about 8:50 and was like, “What?!? Only 10 more minutes? More P/Jo!” I loved every single moment of the episode, even if it was a bit cheesy and contrived (I mean, come on, getting locked in K-Mart?). After all, they talked about their past! That’s cause for celebration right there — couples on this show are notorious for not resolving anything. I’m glad that TPTB are letting these two crazy kids have a second chance (I hope, anyway). And continuity! It’s good to see you again! The writers actually remembered moments of P/Jo’s history (ie. Pacey teaching Joey how to drive). Will wonders never cease.

::sigh:: Some of my favorite quotes:

— Joey: “Unless you take me home now, right now, I think little miss thing isn’t going to be so interested when your sister gives you the tongue kissing of your life.” BWAH!

— Pacey: “A beautiful woman did just offer to have sex with me – no strings attached.”
Joey: “You’re so cute when you’re delusional.”

— Joey: “What the hell is happening to my butt right now?”
Pacey: “That would be the seat warmer that comes standard on all your finer German automobiles.”
Joey: ” Well, my lower half thanks you for moving so far up the socioeconomic ladder.”

— Pacey (about their argument): “We could live for a thousand years and we would never finish this.”

— Joey: “Regular or menthol?”
Pacey: “Are we smoking or shaving?”

— Joey: “Hello chin! You’re back.” (That’s my personal favorite in the entire episode). hee.

— Pacey: “If the next words out of your mouth are ‘Take out the trash,’ I will officially have a preview of what it would be like to be married to you.”

— Joey: “I was going to say — Did you know…?”
Pacey: “Did I know what?”
Joey: “This was a dream come true.”

How am I going to wait until April for the next episode?!? I hate rerun hell.

anticipation

omg, I’m at work right now (I’m so bad — I’m blogging at work!) — but I can’t stop thinking about going home so I can watch Dawson’s Creek tonight. I mean, come on, it’s the Pacey/Joey hour! lol. I need help. 😛

countdown to goodbye

It’s Dawson’s Creek.

Yes, again.

I just wanted something DC-ish again because I keep seeing the “Countdown to Goodbye” promos on the WB and they always make me all sad. *sniff*

Plus, I have no idea when I’ll be able to create another layout because work has been keeping me pretty busy on the weekdays. And when I get home, all I want to do is… eat, watch TV and sleep. Yup, this is the life you can look forward to after college. It’s exciting, really. No. Really.

p/jo heaven

Um. So Kel has died and gone to Pacey/Joey heaven. That’s where she’ll be for awhile. 🙂

[edit] Hmm… I decided that I loved tonight’s DC episode, “Clean and Sober,” SO much that I would watch it again… and again. I’ve watched it 3 times now, lol! And because I’m too lazy (and giddy!) to write anything coherent, here are some of my favorite things from the episode:

— Joey (to Pacey): “Your clothes don’t fool me — same old lovable punk.”
(And it was so cool that Pacey and Joey were shopping in Best Buy. That’s my favorite store! hee.)

— I loved Joey’s season 2 references — 1) telling David about Jack getting excited when she was sketching him and 2) telling CJ that Jen “killed a girl once… Abby Morgan… with champagne.” Drunk Joey rocks!

— Pacey (to Joey after she said that he wasn’t over her): “Ah yes, I cry myself to sleep every night. But Jack and I cuddle… that eases the pain.” Heh.

— Joey (to Jen and CJ as they leave Spin the Bottle to make out some more): “This isn’t 7 minutes in heaven… you guys have to come back.”

— Audrey (to Dawson): “You seem a little less self-absorbed than when you got here. You better get yourself back to LA proper, fast.”
(I think I might actually like these two together… but I don’t want to subject Audrey on Dawson just yet. I like him too much).

— Jen (to CJ after having sex on Joey’s coat): “Joey has enough coats.” lol.

And by far, my MOST favorite quote —
— Pacey (to Joey, who is sleeping, about not getting over her): “What you said earlier was right. I never did. How could I? Just look at you.”

THUD. That is me falling on the floor from happiness. 🙂

clear channel

Aww, thanks for the congrats everyone! *blushes*

I’m really really happy to be working (and making money!) again. It’s been a whole month since my last day at my old job and sitting at home every day just doesn’t have the same novelty now that it did back in late December. Watching old videos and sleeping late, as unbelievable as it may sound, got a bit tired.

So… for the past 3 weeks, I’ve been searching job listings and writing cover letters like a madwoman because the thought of having no money to pay for rent(!) started to freak me out a little. BUT I didn’t want to settle for any old job, you know? I mean, that was the very reason why I quit my last one — I was sick of the work that wasn’t going anywhere in an industry that I had no desire to pursue a career in. So I told myself to take as long as I needed to find a job that I was happy with — can you imagine how psyched I was that it only took me a month? 🙂

Anyway, I’m going to be working at Clear Channel Communications as an assistant in their advertising department — I’m very excited! I really finally feel, for the first time since graduating from college, that I’m on a real career path and it feels really good. 🙂

Sorry for being all schmoopy but I’m just so excited.

OMG!!! Did anyone see the promo for next week’s episode of Dawson’s Creek? It made me all sad — the announcer said something like “Countdown to Goodbye — 10 all new episodes — The End of an Era.” Waaah! I’ve watched DC since Jan 98 and as dumb as it may sound, it helped me get through my college years. It was like a really good friend that I could count on every week. Or something like that. I know that the quality of the show has steadily declined since the first season and it should end before it gets any worse but I’m still really gonna miss it.

delusional shipper

Oh hell. Let me just say that I am officially putting on my delusional Pacey/Joey shipper hat and throwing a party. Yes, even with the completely snooze-worthy episode tonight, I am optimistic that February sweeps will be fun, fun, fun.

I forgot to mention that e-l.net celebrated its one year anniversary last Thursday! Woohoo! Just a little shameless celebration for my domain. 🙂
