OMG, I’m in LOVE. It’s so pretty. And shiny. And the screen is wider. And in COLOR. And it plays videos. And I finally have a click wheel (my previous iPod was old school and had the 4 buttons at the top).
It’s pretty sad how happy I am because of a new toy. I tried to take pictures of it to show it off (hehe) but let’s just say I’m a completely lousy photographer.

Rob’s 27th birthday is tomorrow (8/13) but we had his big bash last night at Cafe Mum’s in Japantown. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! It was so much fun!

No. I’m just not a morning person so I don’t get up early enough to have a real meal. If I do find myself with time, then I’ll have a bowl of special K with red berries.

I love omelettes, especially with ham and cheese. YUM. But really, I’ll eat eggs any way…scrambled, sunny-side up, etc.

I’m embarassed to admit this but — McDonald’s. I LOVE the Sausage McMuffin, pancakes, hash brown, McGriddles… pretty much everything on their breakfast menu. I wish they served breakfast all day.

It’s Rob’s birthday today! Happy 24th to him! 🙂 We went to a sushi restaurant called The Drunken Fish — so good! My favorite item is this spicy deep fried tuna roll. Yuuuumm. Random: if you look up drunken fish + oakland, a previous blog entry of mine comes up. hee! Search engines fascinate me.
Hehe, I actually voted after watching American Idol tonight — for Kelly, of course! Her voice is just amazing. And she’s such a cutie pie. 🙂
I can’t believe I’m leaving for Hawaii so soon! I haven’t started packing or cleaning my room yet — so much to do, so little time. Grr argh!
Ugh, it’s so disgustingly HOT over here. My apartment is all stuffy and the air just *sits* — there’s no wind whatsoever. Bah. Go away stupid sun!
Anyway, Rob’s back! Yay for me. 😛 I know I must sound like ever the codependent girlfriend but I really miss him when he’s not around. Awww. 😉
Grr — I hate my stupid old computer. I wrote this really really long blog entry and of course, just as I as about to post it, my computer freaks out and erases the entire thing. I hate this thing with a passion.
So I got to see Episode II (the midnight showing) and I thought it was great fun! It was much better than Episode I but I liked that one as well. 😛 I loved the lightsaber duel between Yoda/Dooku, Mace Windu’s dialogue (I don’t think so!), the R2D2/C3PO banter, and of course, all the Obi-Wan action — especially the one where he’s having a drink at the Coruscant bar and then — bam! He’s doing some major ass-kicking. Surprisingly, I wasn’t too taken with the Ani/Ami romance, although I thought I would be. I’m normally a total sucker when it comes to romances. I just didn’t get *why* she started to love him — I didn’t really see a development or natural progression to their story but that’s just me. Natalie and Hayden were great though and I did enjoy their picnic scenes.
Rob (my boyfriend) has developed a SW obsession — he bought the action figures for Mace Windu, Jango Fett, and Padme. AND he ordered Yoda, R2D2, Anakin with the duel lightsaber, and another Mace from Amazon. lol. He even bought me the Obi-Wan toy cause he knows how much I love him. ::giggly smile::
Gah. I have to be at work tomorrow at 5:30 am! AM! It’s terribly insane to be up that early on a Sunday morning, I know. I’m going to be working at this huge event in San Francisco called Bay to Breakers. It’s the world’s largest footrace (or so they say) and it starts at the edge of the San Francisco Bay, crosses the city and ends at the breakers of the Pacific Ocean. I think I’m going to be helping out with registration and check-in for the runners and participants. Should be lots of fun, but tiring as well.
So I had a *really* great day yesterday — Rob and I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary but we had a lot of fun just being together. We went to San Francisco — god, I looove the city — I know I see it every day when I go to work but there’s just something about it. Looking up at the huge buildings and looking towards the bay — ::sigh:: — it’s just so beautiful. I am so thankful that my college decision led me to such an amazing place. Anyway (whoops – going off on a tangent), we were just walking around downtown, going to various stores (I finally got a new pair of sunglasses – whee!), and we ended the day by watching Changing Lanes at the Sony Metreon (a huge entertainment center/movie theatre). What a great day. 🙂
Just finished watching Alias – Peter Berg (he plays Noah) is so annoying. I can’t stand his voice and the way his mouth moves when he talks. Gah. But wow, the episode was brilliant. I had no idea that Noah would be the Snowman. Poor Syd. Yet another guy she loved died. ::sob:: I loved all the scenes with Jack — Victor Garber rocks. He just exudes such emotion — when he was watching the video of his wife and he heard her say that he was a fool. Man, that’s harsh. Can’t wait for next week.
Whee! My boyfriend and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary today. 😀 We don’t have any big plans or anything, we’re probably just going to go out for dinner. We just decided to save up money for a trip to Hawaii so I think that’ll be the way we celebrate our big milestone. I’m just so happy right now. ::giddy:: We’ve been through a lot together — starting off as friends helping each other through the craziness of college to now — very much in love! ::sigh:: Sorry for the total sappiness — hee.
Hmmm… I hope everyone is happy that I held it together last night and didn’t go crazy posting my comments on the latest episode of Dawson’s Creek. 😛 I guess I was just expecting the worst so it really wasn’t too bad. Besides, I really enjoy the episodes where we get to see all the characters — even Grams! I love Jen more and more every week (she’s my favorite character, definitely. she just rocks) — her reaction to Grams’s new boyfriend was so hilarious. “Young lady, do you have a boyfriend?” Hee, too funny. I also enjoyed the scene between Dawson and Jen — while I had high hopes for a relationship between them, I’m really glad we didn’t lose these two as friends. I’m still annoyed by Joey and Charlie and Pacey and Audrey but I’m in too good of a mood to elaborate. So whatever. What a great way to lead up to the momentous 100th episode where apparently, nothing new and exciting will happen. Unless you count Dawson proclaiming his love for Joey (for what now? the millionth time?) as new and different. I’m sorry, just blame it on my P/Jo love.
And I’m hearing that Roswell has officially been cancelled. I can’t say I’m really sad about it cause let’s face it, the show hasn’t been too great lately (example: I Married an Alien) but I *will* miss seeing the actors and their characters. I guess I’m just a big old sap like that. 😉
