It’s 1am and I’m downloading Debbie Gibson and Tiffany songs on iTunes.
OMG, these songs bring me back to elementary school. And I’ve just aged myself like, a billion years. HEE!

I kinda want a new iPod. Damn Apple.
I was perfectly happy with my 30gb iPod until the other day, when they announced the new iPods. Longer battery life, a new search interface, movies/games capabilities and an 80gb model.
80GB! IWANTONESOBAD.
But I won’t. I need to save money… for Paris, for Christmas and maybe for a car (!). I *am* thinking of getting a Shuffle, though. It would be perfect for working out. My iPod can be a little bulky, especially when running, etc.
Speaking of money wasting items, the Nintendo DS Lite is now available in pink in the US. Love it. I’d be able to play Mario Kart! That might just be reason enough to get it. Hehe. Except… NO, I WON’T. I WILL STAY STRONG.
Anyway, it’s Friday night and you know what I’m doing (well, besides looking at things I can’t afford)? I’m sitting here playing with the new iTunes (which rocks, by the way)… going through all 1500 of my songs and downloading album artwork. My iPod screen is incomplete with out! I obviously… WIN AT LIFE. 😀
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

WHY I AM WATCHING DANCING WITH THE STARS??!!?
Anyway.
Life has been feeling a bit like a whirlwind lately. After a couple of weeks of communicating back and forth with an old manager of mine, she officially offered me a job today! I had been toying with the idea of starting the search for a new job (feeling a little bored at my current job) but this opportunity pretty much came and dropped itself in my lap. It’s in the same industry (media buying), the position itself is a promotion, and the salary is about 30% more than I’m making now. It’s pretty much a no-brainer. It’ll definitely be more responsibility and more hours but I’m ready for a change. Now I just have to give my notice. My boss is the BEST and I adore working for him… it’s going to be so hard telling him I’m going to leave. Ack. Just thinking about it pains me. :/
Ok, must think happy thoughts…
OMG. Just one more month ’til Paris! Woot.

A little late for today’s anniversary (has it really been 5 years?!) but I’ll always remember.
I forgot that Justice premiered last week. It’s a new FOX show starring Victor Garber and Kerr Smith (Jack Bristow and Jack McPhee!!!) as lawyers who take on controversial and/or noteworthy cases. I almost missed it again tonight (I have ballet class on Wednesday nights) but I got home in time to catch the tail end of the episode.
I don’t know, guys. I absolutely LOVE VG and KS but the 20 minutes that I saw was… not good. The show is trying so hard to be hip and edgy but it’s more uneven than anything else. Even Amanda Seyfried (Lily!) playing the defendant couldn’t help the episode. I’ll stick it out for a few more weeks. I really want to like this show (mostly because of VG and KS, I have to admit). I’m crossing my fingers that it’ll get better.
Just got back from seeing Little Miss Sunshine. GREAT movie. It’s kinda sad and depressing but manages to balance out the mature situations with some absolutely hilarious moments. I particularly love all the times when the Hoover family had to push their VW van to get it started. Ahhh, that never stopped being funny. Highly recommended. 😀
I found a leaked copy of Justin Timberlake’s new album online so of course, I downloaded it. You know me. September 12 is much too far away. 😀
I love love LOVE the album so I thought I’d share a few of my favorite songs.

My Love
Damn Girl
SQUEE. I hope Mr. JT does another tour… his recent club tour didn’t come to the Bay Area and I *really* want to see him live again.
Yay for 3-day weekends.
I just realized that I never finished up my season finale commentaries. Since the new season’s about to start, I figure I might as well knock these out. You know, for posterity.
SPOILERS ARE AHEAD…
One Tree Hill
HATED the ending. I mean, Haley screaming as Nathan jumps into the river to rescue Rachel and Uncle Cooper?!? What is THAT about? The poor girl just got married. Seeing the credits roll after that just about KILLED me. What if the show hadn’t been renewed? Grrr. And I’m so torn about the Peyton/Lucas/Brooke triangle. I love L/P but I completely understand Brooke’s feelings of betrayal. I really, really wish that the L/P storyline had played out differently… without Brooke getting hurt. Blah. Especially if it turns out that she’s pregnant. This is so my guilty pleasure show but we would be SO OVER if any other main female character besides Karen is pregnant.
Desperate Housewives
Susan got on my nerves, Betty Applewhite did nothing, and I… got so bored. I actually have about 4 (maybe more???) episodes saved on my Tivo but I know I’m never going to sit down and watch them. I don’t think I’ll be watching season 3.
Las Vegas
I want to see Danny in a relationship with Sam… but that’s just wishful thinking. Instead, he falls in love with Delinda (again) who is about to be married. WHY?!? Oh Josh Duhamel, the things I put up with for you. I read somewhere (maybe it was Ask Ausiello) that the upcoming season’s episode order was reduced. :/ It’s not looking good…
Supernatural
This is a great show but honestly it’s not one of those shows that I’m *obsessed* with… I haven’t watched all the episodes multiple times and I don’t plan on purchasing the DVDs. So sadly, I can’t really remember all the details from the finale. Something about the demon inhabiting John’s body? And Sam not shooting him? THIS is why I need to write up my commentaries right after watching the episode and not months after, heh. I do remember the image of the unconscious Winchesters after they were hit by the huge semi. 🙁 That crash totally took me by surprise.
Lost
I can’t believe that Michael left Kate, Jack and Sawyer with Henry Gale. HENRY GALE. Dude is seriously creepy. His eyes make him look possessed or something. *shudders* What about Eko, Desmond, and Locke?! The freaking hatch blew up! Why is Charlie still around? And he had to go and have a cute ending with Claire. Ugh. I don’t quite know why I dislike him so much. But I do. I’m still bitter that Boone had to die and I have to watch Charlie every week. :/ The whole Penelope ending went way over my head so I’ll obviously have to pay better attention next season.
Still have a few more commentaries to write… hopefully I’ll finish them this weekend. I need the closure. 😀
The Emmys are on and I’m not watching (you know, the whole lack of cable issue). Waaahhh.
I’ve actually been procrastinating in getting cable installed again because it looked like we were going to be moving much sooner than we thought. Rob just got a new job in San Carlos (YaY!!!); however, it’s not close to where we live. AT ALL. It’s about a 45 min. to 1 hr. drive (one way!) at best. So we thought we should probably move somewhere that’ll be like “middle ground” for us since I’ll still be working in Oakland. That would lead us to the other side of the Bay Bridge… or in Bay Area speak, to the peninsula (the area south of San Francisco leading to San Jose). We took a drive this morning to check out the area… no luck. One apartment community we liked in San Bruno was WAY out of our budget so we kinda gave up. After much discussion, we decided to stay where we are, especially since we recently found out that we no longer have to vacate our apartment in 120 days like I originally mentioned in before. So yeah. We’re staying put. For now. AND WE CAN GET CABLE AGAIN.
Anyway. We also saw Snakes on a Plane today. Hehehe. Pretty bad movie but HIGHLY entertaining. I screamed out loud during a couple of scenes. Good times.
