Still moving. I’ll be so happy in 2 weeks when it’s all over.
I’m waaayyy behind on my TV shows but I have caught a few episodes here and there…
Jack & Bobby
I guess Berlanti and Schlamme had no faith that the show would be renewed because the finale really felt like the end. And they ended up being right, sadly. It’s too bad because I thought the show had hit a great stride and I was looking forward to what was to come in the second season. Oh well. At least the (series) finale really delivered for me as a Jack fan (I’ve long thought he’s been a bit shafted with regards to significant storylines). I loved seeing him meet his father (I got so choked up in those scenes) and also enjoyed learning about his future as a public defender and later as a Congressman. Looking back at my initial thoughts on the show, I never would have imagined that I would be sad about its cancellation. Stupid WB! I just hope the show is someday released on DVD.

NOOOO!!! NOT. TONY. $#@! OF COURSE, after Tony and Michelle get it together (aww, they kissed!), they have Tony go out in the field and get taken hostage. Argh. And by MANDY! Wowzers. I seriously gasped when I saw Mia Kirshner. That was a damn good surprise.
American Idol
Final 2 will be Bo and Carrie.
It looks the Network Upfronts have started this week and so far, there’s not too much to be happy about…
ABC
They moved Alias to Thursdays?!? WHY?!? It was so great following Lost. UGH. And they picked up a sitcom starring Freddie Prinze, Jr? Huh.
NBC
Very weak line-up. There’s 2 versions of The Apprentice for goodness sake! (Although I have to admit I am contemplating checking out the Martha Stewart version, hee). Plus, they moved The West Wing to Sundays. Lame.
WB
They cancelled Jack & Bobby. GRR. AND THEN they MOVED One Tree Hill to Wednesdays at 8 (what?!) and also MOVED Smallville and Everwood to Thursdays (double what?!?). I thought all 3 shows worked well on their current nights. *grumble, grumble*
Anyway, Star Wars tomorrow! I’m so excited.
So the moving has started. Words cannot express how much I despise packing, moving and then unpacking. Ack. Plus, I’m a huge packrat so I have TONS of stuff to sort through. I’m hoping to get rid of most of the “junk” I’ve accumulated so that I end up tossing most of it rather than schlepping it to my new place. I’m just glad we have another 5 weeks before we officially have to be out of our current apartment. I can take my time and not get all stressed out. I get enough stress from work, thankyouverymuch.
More TV comments…

President Logan sucks. Chloe is a badass. Also, Jack and Audrey are SO. OVER.
America’s Next Top Model
Did anyone see Tyra go off on Tiffany a few episodes back?!? That was classic. I heart this show. Too bad I don’t really care for any of the girls. I can’t stand Brittany and Tatiana… I like Rebecca and Kahlen well enough… but there’s no one I LOVE. I guess I’m just watching for the drama. And the show definitely delivers.
Smallville
Finally watched Onyx, which I really, really enjoyed (maybe because it was Lex-centric?). I actually sat through the entire episode without getting distracted or fast-forwarding through scenes. It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to say that about Smallville. Plus, Lex/Lana!!! Squee. I haven’t watched Spirit yet so don’t go bursting my bubble. I bet the storyline will drift back to Clark/Lana soon enough so let me live in my dream world for awhile.
Grey’s Anatomy
Yup, still watching (and loving) the show. And especially after last night’s episode. Christina/Burke flirtation! I seriously thought I was just imagining the sexual tension between them in last week’s scene in the stairwell. But I wasn’t! YAY. And it looks like the storyline continues next week. Score.
Doing the Friday Five (yes, I realize it’s late
)…
1. What is the first record/tape/CD that you bought?
I don’t remember for certain but it was probably an album by either Tiffany or Debbie Gibson. And it was definitely a tape.
2. Who is your favorite all time band/singer?
Britney Spears. No laughing. I just love her. She’s a marketing genius. I just wish she hadn’t married that Kevin Federline character. I mourn old Britney.
3. What have you been listening to lately?
The Postal Service. I’m ADDICTED to Such Great Heights, Sleeping In and Recycled Air.
4. What is your favorite radio station, what do they play, and where do they broadcast?
I don’t listen to the radio anymore. My iPod has spoiled me.
5. Can you recommend a good song or CD that everyone should listen to?
My current “songs of the moment” are — Such Great Heights by The Postal Service, Collide by Howie Day and Signs by Snoop Dogg.
WHO is voting for Scott?!? I was totally hoping my prediction would be wrong too. America, you are *killing* me. Seriously.
Because my brain is going to explode if I keep thinking about American Idol, some TV comments (I’m so happy the WB is back from hiatus)…
Jack and Bobby
I didn’t think I would still watch this show after Bradley Cooper and Mike Erwin’s characters left the cast but I somehow got attached to Jack. He’s certainly a very flawed character (screaming at Marcus and Courtney, not supporting Bobby with the track tryouts, dating that awful Katie) but there’s something about him that is so genuine. I loved the scene at the end of Friends With Benefits when he began coaching Bobby. Aww.

Jack just can’t catch a break with the women. His relationship with Audrey was doomed from the start. Poor guy. I don’t like her much but I was rooting for them if only to finally see Jack smile at the end of the season. I can’t seem to figure out how to feel about Vice President Logan (or well, President for the time being). Is he in on the terrorist activities or is he just the biggest coward ever? He is such a waste of time to me. I’d rather learn more about Marwan and his motivation for the attacks. But that’s probably just me.
The OC
First Sandy and Rebecca and now Kirsten and this Carter character. UGH. Stop messing with the Cohens. !!!
Gilmore Girls
Was a little bored with the episode. Plus, no Logan. Paris was a riot, though. And is it just me but does anyone else NOT like Lane and Zach? They just don’t do anything for me. And I really like Lane.
One Tree Hill
I may have said this before but I’ll say it again — Haley is dead to me. The episode was so hard to watch with all those great flashbacks of Nathan and Haley. *sniff* And then to see Haley basically take Nathan’s heart (after he drove so far to see her!) and stomp on it. I don’t think the writers can do anything at this point to make me love her the way I did last season. So glad Felix is finally gone! And I never thought I would say it but I think I’m beginning to like Anna. She was so undefined as a character that I couldn’t bring myself to care about her but now I do. I’m kinda rooting for her to stick around. Brooke and Lucas are still bugging me. I really wish the writers would stop projecting Sophia and Chad’s real life relationship onto the characters. So aggravating.
Phew. Would you believe I have *more* shows to catch up on? Hee.
Spoilery 24 and American Idol comments ahead…

Not Dina!!! She was the best new character this season. But they didn’t show her body, right? So I’m holding out hope til then. Very little hope, though, because Marwan doesn’t really have any reason at this point to keep her alive.
As for the rest of the episode, it wasn’t up to snuff with the beginning of the season. The storylines are getting a little cheesy and unbelievable. Weellll, *more* unbelievable than normal. I mean, Jack acting as Dina’s hostage to draw out Marwan? Totally was not going to work. Come on, Jack! And CTU drawing back when Jack and Dina went into the tunnel? Very stupid move. The tunnel switcheroo is so the oldest trick in the book. Come on, CTU! I expect smarter twists from you.
Tony and Michelle were giving each other googly eyes the entire episode. It’s just a matter of time before those two crazy kids get back together. I can feel it. So as one relationship looks to be warming up again, another is slowly circling down the drain. I don’t see Audrey and Jack surviving the day, what with Paul in surgery and facing possible paralysis. Eeek. Poor Jack, he hasn’t had much luck with the ladies these past few seasons.
And yay for the return of Chloe! She’s so awesome.
American Idol
Really great performances tonight. But seriously, was Paula drunk? Cause she was all hyper and yelling and pawing at Simon. So weird. My favorite performances were Jessica, Carrie, Vonzell and Nikko. They were fantastic. I also enjoyed Scott (so dramatic when he tossed his glasses to the side) and Anwar, although I didn’t think they were at the top of their game (particularly Anwar — he normally picks great songs for his voice). My predictions for the bottom three are Anthony, Mikalah and Nadia with Mikalah getting the boot.
Mmm. GREAT TV on FOX tonight.
First. Michelle is back on 24. SQUEE. The look on Tony’s face as he saw her walking into CTU? Priceless. They’re so my OTP.
Second. All the guys on American Idol were so much better than I expected (I’ve only seen the girls perform so far this season). I loved Anwar’s performance especially. He rocked that song. I’m pretty horrible at predicting these things but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that either Scott, Anthony or Constantine will not advance to the top 12 on Wednesday.
Because I am incredibly behind on TV (I have 3 weeks worth of Everwood episodes to watch — craziness!), a fandom meme…
Snagged from Jessica –
Everwood
1. The first character you first fell in love with: Colin. Loved him from the very first second of We Hold These Truths. He remains my most favorite Everwood character.
2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now: Ephram. *hides* His constant bad attitude and cynicism got on my nerves in the beginning. But I’ve really enjoyed watching him grow and come into his own… he’s had a great journey.
3. The character everyone else loves that you don’t: Dr. Abbott. I have a soft spot for the guy but I really, really, really dislike the way he treats Bright (especially compared to Amy).
4. The character you love that everyone else hates: Amy. Well, the fandom doesn’t hate Amy as much as I get the feeling that people just like to criticize her. Sure, she can be very self-centered but what teenager isn’t?
5. The character you used to love but don’t any longer: Dr. Brown. His treatment of Madison and now his affair with Amanda have completely soured the character for me.
The OC
1. The first character you first fell in love with: Ryan.
2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now: Summer. I never expected that the writers would actually give the character some depth. I’m glad they did.
3. The character everyone else loves that you don’t: Lindsay. She makes me yawn.
4. The character you love that everyone else hates: Marissa. I don’t know what it is but she intrigues me… alcohol and lesbian storylines included.
5. The character you used to love but don’t any longer: Seth. He’s become a bit too shrill and self-absorbed. Not to mention that he doesn’t seem to have much respect for his relationships with his friends (case in point: Summer and Zach).
24
1. The first character you first fell in love with: Tony. (Or maybe I’m just getting the character and the actor confused? lol)
2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now: Chloe.
3. The character everyone else loves that you don’t: Sherry Palmer. UGH. She was always doing or saying something stupid. I don’t understand why she’s such a popular character within the fandom.
4. The character you love that everyone else hates: Kim.
5. The character you used to love but don’t any longer: Michelle. How could she leave Tony?! Especially after he risked everything to save her life. I’m hoping that she’ll make an appearance this season to explain herself.
CSI
1. The first character you first fell in love with: Nick. His innocence is so endearing.
2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now: Warrick and Brass.
3. The character everyone else loves that you don’t: Sara. She acts so smug sometimes.
4. The character you love that everyone else hates: Catherine. Although I’m not sure I like that she’s actually getting along with Ecklie now. Yuck.
5. The character you used to love but don’t any longer: Sara.
Alias
1. The first character you first fell in love with: Sydney.
2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now: Jack. He’s always been kinda morally ambiguous but I know that he would do anything to protect Syd.
3. The character everyone else loves that you don’t: Sloane. He was a bad guy! He was head of SD-6! I can’t let go of his past just because he’s somehow landed himself a leadership role in a Black Ops division of the CIA.
4. The character you love that everyone else hates: Vaughn. I just… I don’t know. I keep remembering s1/2 Syd and Vaughn and I fall in love with them all over again.
5. The character you used to love but don’t any longer: I don’t know… maybe Dixon? But that’s only because the writers haven’t given him a real storyline in awhile so it’s hard to care when he’s not doing anything.
Dawson’s Creek
1. The first character you first fell in love with: Pacey. All his insecurities hiding beneath the bravado. Awww.
2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now: Jen. I have to admit that I was a Dawson/Joey fan when the show started, so I naturally disliked Jen for “getting in the way.” She’s since become my favorite character on the show.
3. The character everyone else loves that you don’t: Andie. OMG, she drove me crazy.
4. The character you love that everyone else hates: Gretchen and Drue. Two great additions to season 4. I really wish they had kept Drue on for season 5 — it would have been really interesting to see a relationship develop between him and Jen. The writers really dropped the ball.
5. The character you used to love but don’t any longer: Audrey.
Time for bed…
*sigh* Just got my 24 fix. This show always makes my day feel complete. Hee.
Comments (and possible spoilers) for the 2-3:00 episode…
Thumbs Down:
1. Tony’s girlfriend. I can’t believe he even *has* a girlfriend. I think I went into shock while watching the episode.
2. Mr. Araz. I hope the guy from The Mummy (does he have a name on the show yet?) “takes care” of him. He was creepy in the beginning but now he just seems like a coward.
3. Bitter Tony. I love you but what’s with the attitude? And you drove Michelle away?! My poor little shipper heart.
Thumbs Up:
1. Marianne finally getting caught (And by Edgar! I may have to rethink my annoyance with him). She was such a tedious character.
2. Tony watching soccer in Spanish.
3. Tony drinking a beer in the middle of the day.
4. Tony drinking his beer out of a Cubs mug.
Can you tell I’m a little obsessed with Tony? But my most favorite part of the episode was…
5. JACK AND TONY! IN THE FIELD! TOGETHER AGAIN!
Awesome quotes:
Tony: “Jack, don’t you think I’ve missed enough TV because of you today?”
Jack: “She seems real nice.” (referring to Tony’s girlfriend) BWAH!
Audrey: “I can have him killed.”
Tony: “Actually, I’m currently unemployed.” Heh.
OMG OMG OMG. Tony’s back! I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.
You all watch 24, don’t you?
I would write more but I used up all my energy screaming and clapping when Tony appeared. I need to go to bed. Too much excitement for one night, hee.
I snagged my favorite ivory scarf today. I’m so pissed.
Because I have yet to pack for my trip to SoCal tomorrow, some *very* quick TV comments…
24
I knew Mary Anne was evil! I hope she’s doesn’t actually turn out to be a reverse mole (like Gael in s3) because I want to be totally justified for hating her. Behrooz rocked. He was going to get killed and beat down Tariq with his shovel. Awesome. Too bad he left the dead bodies AND the shovel out in the open. He should have just finished burying them before taking off.
Gilmore Girls
I couldn’t tell you what happened. Something about snow being Lorelai’s boyfriend? I don’t know. I was seriously unable to concentrate on the episode. I used to like storylines that involved Christopher (don’t judge me!) but it’s like the millionth time he’s tried to manipulate himself back into the girls’ lives and it’s getting a little tired. Plus, there was no Lane, no Logan, and no Marty to speak of in this episode. What’s up with that?
One Tree Hill
This episode made me rethink my potential purchase of the s1 DVDs. s1 was trashy goodness. s2 has just been trashy. Anna and Felix need to pack up and move out of Tree Hill. Like right now. I’m so annoyed with their characters that I don’t care if Anna’s really a lesbian or if Felix truly cares about Brooke. What. Ever. Jules can go right along with them for all I care. It sucks that poor Keith is being dragged through this horrible storyline. I don’t even want to get into the characters I care about. Nathan and Haley aren’t acting like themselves. I can’t believe Haley even gave a second thought to leaving with Chris (what is wrong with her?!) or that Nathan can allow himself to be manipulated by Taylor. I don’t understand why we can’t see them go through the trials of getting married so young. Instead we’re treated to external nuisances that cause problems for them. UGH. As for Lucas and Brooke, I guess I’m delusional cause I never for one second thought that their relationship in s1 was anything more than a fling. The writers have some serious backtracking to do if they want me to believe that they had something more. Oh well. At least Jake is back. He was the one bright spot of the episode.
Smallville
Please bring Lois back. kthxbye.
I still have Alias and OC thoughts but those’ll have to wait. Time for me to get packing!
